Nice scope, but disappointed it is NOT shipped with a battery. Wish Bushnell would put that in the description so I could have picked one up on the way home.

Mounted this scope on a Howa 30-06 with some heavy duty rings. After benching the rifle for about 100 rounds the reticle turned counter clockwise about 10 degrees and I lost all accuracy that I had. Sent it back to Bushnell. If they made it here in the US maybe they could watch their quality closer

Bought a 4-16X40 Red ...

Bought a 4-16X40 Red Green illuminated and mounted it on a .308 Win. Took to the range where after 24 rounds it promptly fell apart. Bits of something floating around inside the tube, cross hairs became dislodged about 20 degrees left of vertical, cross hairs would not illuminate. Very surprised as I own two other Bushnell scope without a problem. It's going back to the factory in the am.

Awesome product, I mounted this on my DPMS AR-15 I use to hunt coyotes, and it works great. Works great with my red or green Kill light since you can switch from red or green, use red with the green light or green with the red light so the crosshairs stand out even more. Also very clear for use in day or night. Again great product.

Gary must indeed have picked a lemon. I mounted the Bushnell on a weatherby 30-06. I shoot 2 boxes a session, once a month, and have been doing so all year. This scope has never lost it's zero. If I do my part, it can print clover leafs at 200 yards. the picture is clear, parallax is good, and the IR in red/ green is a great bonus. I wish they made the same thing in a 6x-24x.

Bushnell 4-16x 40mm built ...

Bushnell 4-16x 40mm built solid. Mounted it on my Ruger with a B-square weaver rail and quick detach medium rings. First, the quick target acquisition lens is a very wide aperature lens which offers a hefty peep view. I was suprised and very glad it was not a micrscopic peep hole. The 1 piece tube construction gives me a better piece of mind without too many internals. Simple well constructed scope it and shoot. Has all the features illumination with 5 variable brightness settings which is a nice feature 5 red and 5 for the green crosshairs very clear! Off switch is at 12oclock and 2nd 6oclock which reduces wear on turning dials around in a 360. Lens look solid. Bushnell quality brand name glad I went with a trusted company been around making riflescopes for a long time and the lifetime guarantee is nice. If you can,t afford a nightforce scope like my cousin he says its very good then this is awesome for the money in the 4-16x range budget. I am a satisfied customer.

This is an excellent scope for the money and truly represents a great value. I purchased this scope based upon my experience with Bushnell's Elite line. I have two of those and they are fine performers.This scope has illumination (2-colors) and is strong and simple. I mounted this scope on my Rock River Arms Coyote rifle and it sighted in quickly. Subsequent firing had my rifle shooting very small groups with no eye strain.If you don't have the bucks for a $600. scope, this little darling will still do the job for you. I could have purchased a more expensive scope but since I do hunt coyotes at night, I wanted the illuminated reticule. I am very happy with the purchase of this scope and I think you'll be happy too.

By far the best scope I've ever used, I have it on a Remington 7600 in the 280 cal. The lighted cross hairs are awesome, I would recommend to anybody; this scope is, in my opinion, the best deer hunting scope you can buy.

Well I really liked the ...

Well I really liked the scope when I first mounted it on my .270. Unfortunately, after a couple of trips to the range I noticed what appeared to be a thin piece of foam bouncing around in the scope with normal recoil and sometimes sticking to an internal lens obscuring the reticle. I continued to use the scope until I noticed what appeared to be an O-ring seal drooping into my sight picture when I changed the magnification. Basically I had three range sessions (60 rounds) with this scope before it started falling apart internally. I am now back in the market for a new scope to replace the Bushnell that I no longer trust. Your mileage may vary from mine, I may have just received a lemon, but you know what they say "burn me once..." Bushnell Banner scopes are potential junk in my book.
