This Extractor Rivet Anvil is specially designed for Remington 700's. Slide this hardened steel anvil into the face bolt recess, and it will support the back side of the extractor rivet while "peening" the other end to install a new extractor. Works great if clamped in a vise. 2-1/4"X1-3/4"x1/2"

Highly recommended! I had ...

Highly recommended! I had a broken extractor in my Remington 700 Sendero replaced by a gunsmith. I had to travel almost 90 miles round trip. It worked for three shots. Out of frustration I purchased Baker Extractor Rivet Anvil, the extractor (don't forget the rivet, I thought it would come with the extractor) and the rivet from Midway (second order). When removing recently installed rivet I discovered that the hole had been seriously oversized (not pointing fingers), lending to brief lifespan of the new extractor. I now had serious doubts about the future of this bolt. I didn't see how it could possibly hold a new extractor in correct position. I figured the money was already spent and I couldn't hurt the bolt anymore, so I installed the new extractor and rivet with this tool. To my amazement, it came out far better than I had expected (or hoped for, for that matter). I have fired almost 80 rounds through it with no sign of movement or problem in function (and this is with a 300 Ultra Mag). Definite 5 Stars!!!
