I have owned and used sights like Holo sights and reflex sights. This sight is quick to aquire the target and when in bright light the dot grows brighter giving you a clear mil-dot that is accurate. In dimmer conditions the dot is smaller and more precise and makes hitting the target easy. Compared to the EOTech this sight seems much clearer and the objective is large.

The Trijicon RX30 is a ...

The Trijicon RX30 is a major improvement over their previous Reflex sights. The tritium is much brighter, the field of view is huge through the 42mm objective and the fiber optics are more efficient so reticle washout (the bane of the Reflex series) is still possible but more difficult to achieve. The 6.5moa dot is great for fast & close-in shooting but not well suited for distance or precision shooting (I believe their triangle would make a superior reticle for the RX30). The lens is coated with a bluish tint but I don't find that distracting while shooting. The large 42mm objective makes finding the reticle fast & easy, especially when shooting from unconventional shooting positions with imprecise head alignment behind the optic. Various mount options are available but I prefer the TA51 ACOG mount as it's reversible so you can place the mount bolts on whichever side is preferred. The two biggest flaws of the RX30 (in my opinion) are: 1) The open emitter tunnel on the top of the optic where dirt/mud/debris could conceiveably fall in and kill the reticle until cleared, and 2) The reticle can be made to wash out if looking from a sufficient dark area towards a sufficiently bright area with light-colored target (or using a bright taclight at night). While the RX30 is a huge improvement over the earlier Reflex series and the best currently available I gave it 4 out of 5 stars due to the potential reticle washout problems.
