Product Information

SUPERFORMANCE ammunition is loaded with proprietary propellants that increase the velocity ratings up to 200 feet per second compared to other popular brands. Because there is no increase in pressure, regardless of the caliber, there is no increase in felt recoil but there IS an increase in efficiency and high speed performance. From sub-zero arctic temperatures to almost unbearable desert heat, SUPERFORMANCE ammunition can withstand any hunting habitat.

Loaded with Hornady's Gilding Metal Expanding (GMX) bullet, this bullet is harder and tougher than a copper bullet and also helps to reduce fouling in the barrel. Made with the same polymer tip bullet used in Hornady's A-Max, InterBond and SST rounds. A GMX bullet expands 1-1/2 times its original size and retains 95% of its original weight. The boat tail design reduces bearing surface in order to increase accuracy and consistency. This bullet gives hunters an expanding monolithic bullet that delivers ultra-flat trajectories and devastating terminal performance. Hornady also lists these as "California Compatible".

Please Note: While the 5.56x45mm NATO will fit in a .223 Remington chamber, the 5.56 is a military round that runs at higher pressures than its .223 counterpart and is not recommended to be fired in a .223 Remington chamber.
