The Hornady Microjust Seating Stem is a great accessory to get the most accuracy out of your New Dimension Seating dies. The Microjust Seating Stem turns your Hornady New Dimension Seating dies into a micrometer seating die by simply replacing the seating stem. This replacement stem allows precise adjustment in bullet seating depth in .001" increments and is a very economical way to achieve benchrest accuracy and consistency without buying new dies. Seating Die Sold Separately.

Function: Turn a regular seating die into a micrometer seating die

Will not work in oversized dies or other manufacturers dies

Will not work with Custom Grade New Dimension Taper Crimp Seating Dies

To install, remove standard seating stem and screw the Microjust Seating Stem on and you are ready to go

There's no need to pay out the nose for a special "competition" seating die. Just add this seating stem to your regular Hornady die and you're good to go. You can even move the same stem from die to die, so you don't have to have one for each cartridge that you reload. Adjusting the seating depth couldn't be easier. There's no need to guess how much further you need to turn your seating stem down. Just dial it down the exact amount you need and pull the arm on your press.

The Hornady Microjust is ...

The Hornady Microjust is a great product that mirrors the performance of other competition dies at a fraction of the cost. However, the Hornady Microjust has a problem in that the shiny finish reflects light making the graduations very hard to read accurately. If the graduations were white on black, this tool would be unbeatable for price and precision.

I bought the New Dimension Seating die ,so I could use the Hornady Microjust Seating Stem on my custom built 22/6mm. The tolerances are near perfect with long 75gr A-Max bullets, the result is 3/8" groups.

If I Weren't as Cheap I'd Buy Another

Bought a couple Hornady dies when just starting out and found getting the seating depth to be on was such a pain. After buying a Redding Competition die for another cartridge thought I would give this a try for my Hornady dies.

Wasn't expecting it to be as precise as I am a firm believer in get what you pay for but I'm learning that between this product and the Lee neck dies it is possible to load with precision and ease without having to front big bucks. The microjust stem has a smooth operation and is just as precise as my Redding (Maybe Mike from Colorado just got a lemon). For me and the price point this was definitely worth every penny and I may just buy a second so I don't have to keep switching from die to die.

To start, the price point on this is unbeatable. I bought it to see how it would do compared to some of the more expensive dials, and it has performed flawlessly. I tested it by seating a dozen rounds, starting at 3.290". At every adjustment, the cartridge overall length perfectly matched the amount that I adjusted. It performed flawlessly on all twelve adjustments ranging from 0.100" change to changing it 0.001" between cartridges. I am very impressed. I did not think that it would have such quality and accuracy.

My Hornady seater dies are producing ammo with runout figures equal to that of my much higher cost Redding and Forster benchrest seater dies. Slap on this baby and you have yourself the equivalent of the best seater dies on the planet at much less cost. The best part is that you only need to buy one - move it among all your Hornady seater dies and save even more money. Hornady is becoming a quality reloading secret: meet the high quality standards of the big names, and match or beat their results. Best bang for the buck: Hornady.

Love this seating stem. ...

Love this seating stem. The great part about it is that it actually works. The adjustment marks are spot on, and it sits in the die just like it's supposed too. When you move it down 2 tick marks, the bullet is seated .002" deeper. I was not able to make this thing go off by more than .0005, and that very well could have been the position in the caliper. Very pleased with this product. Another great feature is that the box the Hornady Match dies come in are made to accommodate the dies with the stem on them, so you can still use the box they come in. All around awesome.

The product did not change the seating depth consistently when I adjusted the thimble. Investigation showed excessive thread clearance. I measured .009 inch axial clearance between male and female threads. Unacceptable. You get what you pay for. Stick with Redding.

Excellent addition to the Hornady seating die. . Marks on the micrometer are a little difficult to read, but you can easily dial to .001. Quality made, SS, laser etched. I am buying one for each of my Hornady dies. Great value, and makes repeatable and fine adjustments extremely simple. The only minor drawback is once this Microjust is added to the seating die, the die will not fit back in the original plastic storage case.

Another great product from Hornady! Like others here I have some of the other Micrometer seating Dies, I use the Redding Micrometer Die Set for my .243 and 300 Whisper, and Forester Micro Die Set for my 6.5 Grendal, I just bought the Hornady Die set with this Micro Seating stem for the 6.8 SPC and it works every bit as well as either of the other 2 brands for a lot less money.I am in the process of switching all of my Dies sets over from Lee to Hornady and will definitely be buying more of these as I acquire more Hornady Dies. RemMax

Am 58 yr. old. Put on my reading glasses and could read stem just fine. I find myself not even wanting to reload if I can't use a Micro adj. stem. 5 Stars!
