Product Information

Recoil buffers are an easy and inexpensive way to eliminate damage of critical components by preventing the metal to metal contact of the slide or breech block with the frame. Made from a high density polyurethane formulated for maximum shock-absorbing characteristics, the recoil buffer is a drop-in part.

Technical Information

Material: Polyurethane

Notes:

Recoil buffer installs between bolt or bolt carrier and whatever the bolt or bolt carrier stops against when the bolt is fully retracted during firing (installation location varies with the specific firearm).

Buffer absorbs the shock from the action operating, rather than having metal to metal contact at the end of the bolt travel.

Service life of the buffer is 800 to 1,000 rounds.

Buffer will not be damaged by oils or solvents.

Bought this for my eaa witness polymer in 40 s&w. Recoil is alot better with this upgrade. Also helpz save the frame and slide which are known for cracking from recoil with the factory 14 lb spring in the witnesses

I'm up for anything to add to the longevity of my CZ and a Buffer is a Great Idea,, The only problem I have is the slide is a bit tough to close,, I think as it wears in and Compresses slightly this will go away,, I have a similiar product on my 1911 and haven't had an opportunity to see if it has the same problem.

Installed this on a brand new cz75 SA and had a bit of an issue locking the slide back before entering the range. After 150 rounds the slide locked back on every empty magazine but wasn't able to be pulled back to chamber the next mag and I had to use the slide release. Overall a good product but I'd like full function of the firearm.

This buffer was purchased for my Witness 10mm and was installed at the same time with a 20lb. Wolfe recoil spring and a "new production" EAA 15 rd. magazine. When testing with conservative 180 gr. loads, I fully expected functional issues. Worked perfectly! All parts conveniently purchased from Midway. Obvious decrease in mechanical noise, and mellowed the firing impulse noticeably with near maximum loads. Hope the buffer life is as long as advertised. Fit perfectly/easily.

I bought one of these for an EAA Witness .45 and it fits perfectly since the Witness guns are licensed clones of the CZ75 series of guns. It is definitely tighter when locking the slide back but I haven't had it fail to lock back a single time during firing. A very good, cheap insurance policy against any slide-to-frame wear during recoil.
