The Scorpion is powered by two 3 volt lithium batteries (included) and is constructed with a machined aluminum body covered by a rubber armored sleeve for a sure grip. Also features unbreakable, polycarbonate lens, triple action tailcap switch and variable spot to flood focus. Xenon model produces 114 lumens with a 1 hour run time. LED model produces 42 lumens with a 3-3/4 hour run time. Length: 5". Weight: 4-1/2 oz with battery. Covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Very bright, long run ...

Very bright, long run time (for CR123 batteries anyway), and high quality. No, it is not adjustable but doing your research with manufacturers tells you this. The xenon model however IS adjustable.

I like this one far ...

I like this one far better than the xenon version. It lasts longer and seems brighter to me. I live on 5 acres, and this can light up the far corners of the fields and provide enough light to aim iron sights by. It is not adjustable. But it is very, very bright.

Mounted this to my Patrol ...

Mounted this to my Patrol M4. Very bright. I've compared several lights side by side that were all over 60 lumens and this one looks just as bright if not brighter in some cases. Don't let the 42 lumens fool you. It's a very bright little light. There definitely is no variable spot to flood focus. period. maybe on the xenon model but not on the LED version. It has a very strong spot oriented beam. I'm rating the light, not the price or the accuracy of the product description. Price is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. This is a quality piece. 5 stars for a light that has never failed me. Light will go to a 'dim' mode when batteries are alomost dead to extend battery life. So if you don't happen to have any extras with you that is a nice heads up.

Very bright! Well built ...

Very bright! Well built and quality construction. Would of given it 5 if I could figure out how to adjust the beam, I don't think it can be done even though the description says variable spot to flood focus. Mounted to my 870 perfectly.

Compared directly with ...

Compared directly with the bulb version, the light output is nearly as good, with the usual blue cast of LEDs. Though the lamp housing was changed to prevent rolling, a positive change, however they just added it to the lamp head, making it larger and heavier than it needs to be, and not comfortable for pocket carry. Like the Scorpion and Strion, it could use a clip or lanyard. Still, a very well made LED with excellent battery life and comfortable rubber grip with dependable end-cap momentary and on/off switch.
