2550 fps in my stock 700 Rem SS BDL w/synthetic stock; using Reloader 15 with a large rifle Federal (non-magnum) primer. Consistent 5 shot groups at 100 yards 3/4"-7/8" center to center.One shot at 150 yards on a bull moose quartering away entered just behind left shoulder, center-punched a left side rib, jellied the heart and part of the lungs, went through a right side rib, and left a 1-3/4" exit wound. Instant, spectacular kill. I have heard stories of this bullet coming apart, but I have also heard that Sierra toughened them a couple of years ago or so. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a Kodiak brown bear with this load, and I would expect similar results, given good shot placement.

I have used this bullet in my 375 H&H Imp. I have found it to be consistently very accurate. I have taken 2 white tail deer (<100 yds) with it and found the penetration to be poor. In both cases the kills were spectacular but no exit wound. The bullet appeared to completely fragment even though I hit no bone in either case. This would NOT be my bullet of choice for dangerous game where penetration is key.

In my last review in 2006 I gave this product 1 star. Since then I decided to try these bullets again since all the other reviews were so positive. Additionally I heard Sierra had reworked the bullet. I shot this bullet close to 3100 fps into wet newsprint from my 378 WBY Mag. Impact velocity was 3060 fps. Upon recovery of the bullet I measured it in every way. Expansion was in the .67" range and weight retention was well within 65%. The bullet was still in one beautiful mushroomed piece. I for one am impressed!

Shot and loaded great with RL 22, I havent shot any animals with it but should be good for everything in North America. 24" barrel Rem 700 XCR II velocity is around 2800. Groups are consistently at 3/8" at 100 yards.

I load this In A 375 JDJ at 1950 FPS Using a 14" barrel On My hand canon. It shoots a .750" group @ 100 Yards I have taken Boar, Antelope, Bear, Deer, Moose, and elk with the weapon, At ranges out to 276 yards. The bullet shoots consistently, and performs well on the game I have taken. Although There is Jacket separation at times on heavy body game. It is not a bonded bullet so I would expect that. The core expands nicely and does remain in tact offering good energy transfer on large body game. However the jacket seems to remain intact on light bodies animals. and often passes through intact. Making it not terribly destructive on the meat of lighter bodied animals.

After using many different bullets in my CZ 550m this was the only one that would group acceptably. This is a sub MOA bullet out of my rifle. Performance on a 225lb Russian boar was perfect, silver dollar sized pass through at 250 yards. Loaded 300 more rounds to last me a while.

These bullets shoot great out of my Rem 700 Xcr chambered in 375 Rum. Shoots inch groups at 100yds all day with IMR 7828. I'm sure the group would shrink if the recoil wasn't so unbearable off the bench. Bullets expand most the shank keeping a decent amount of grains at the base. I like the expansion and energy transfer on midsized game, tends to drop things in its tracks... I hate tracking. I would recommend this bullet for anything between deer and elk.

I used the 300gr in a rem 700 in 375 wby accuracy was very good 3 shots in 1/2 inch at 100 yards at 2800fps. I never recovered a bullet from a animal. I shot everything from gofers at 300+ yards to moose at 10 yards. I don't think the bullet opened up on the moose never found it and not a big exit hole. This bullet is a little on the big side for Alberta except for grizzly. You can never have enough gun for a big grizzly.

This bullet is extremely accurate in my rifle. I used it on safari in Namibia and the bullet is too fragile for African game. Core separation occurred too often. Penetration was not very good. Because of the rapid expansion, it can make some spectacular kills, however, it can also fail. I would not use this bullet on dangerous game except, perhaps, leopard.

I use this bullet in 375imp at 2960ft and it shoots less than 1" at 100yds. I have dropped 4 elk at 300yds. All had exited. I'll shoot anything with gun.

Constant Jacket core separation on game with this bullet. Such should NOT be the case from a 375 HH mag. The bullet is barely doing 2500 fps and still comes apart on elk?
