The finishing touch to a first class Mauser rifle, this guard style originally appeared on commercial Oberndorf Mausers in the early 1900s. The most distinctive feature is the in-the-bow floorplate release, which is still widely used. Most stocks will need to be inletted for a perfect fit. They are polished and in the white.
