The Lee 3 Hole Turret Press is a proven spring-free design with compound leverage. The turret is locked into a solid steel ring with big rifle bolt type lugs. Patented design puts the lugs on the circumference to prevent tipping. The linkage is so powerful that the largest magnum cases are sized with little effort. Features built-in primer catcher, long stroke, generous hand clearance and a comfortable wood grip. Purchase extra turrets and never remove the dies. Simply lift out the entire turret and replace with the next caliber. Dies, shellholders and primer arm can be changed in seconds without tools.

Personal confession: I ...

Personal confession: I haven't done any reloading in about six years. BUT for about 15 years before that I did a lot of handgun reloading, mostly .45ACP and .357Mag, as well as some .30/06 and .223. I used the Lee Turret Press constantly, in all of its incarnations (manual, auto-index, and Pro1000).It's a good press, especially for the price. But the aluminum base casting and levers DO wear. Keep the ram lubricated!!I liked the Pro1000 -- the four-hole version now available would have been nice to have back then -- but you have to pay close attention when setting it up, not to mention while loading. I did find, though, that when disaster strikes during a progressive session it's easier to untangle a Pro1000 than a Loadmaster. Make sure the primer chute is utterly, absolutely, spotlessly clean!Some people swear by the auto-index mode. Myself, I found it just as easy to rotate the turret by hand; the indexer kept getting out of adjustment. But they've probably improved the design by now. (People love the Dillon 550, and you index that by hand, too...)As a manual press, it's as good as any other press, and you have the convenience of easy turret change. It's plenty strong, but again, watch out for wear in the aluminum parts!If I were starting all over again, I'd unquestionably go with Lee equipment, but I'd get the Classic version with the steel base and lever. I can't complain too much, though; I loaded more than 25,000 rounds before the aluminum version started to feel a little sloppy...

I have to say, this press does exactly what it was designed for.They should include, for the arm mount, a lock nut.The holes for the spent primer catch could be a bit smaller. When installing the bullet, and slips out of your hand, and can fall under the press. With only three bolts holding it to the table, its not to much of a pain.Can be used as a single for batch.great deal for the price!I'm happy with the purchase and will most likely buy it again(probably won't need to for a long while!).

Works great but when removing primers they were all over the place. Here is the Fix. 2" long PVC connector 1" diameter. File indents over high parts tape over the slot and spent primers will go down the side slotted sides. Where you need to dirll holes for the primer to exit press. Cost 40 cents.

I'm shooting a lot of pistol rounds these days. Usually 200+ rounds per week. Not a lot for some people, but that is a lot of casting/lubing/sizing/press work. And with multiple pistol calibers...this can add up to a lot of time on a O frame style press. Many die changes without the Lee turret press. Set your dies up in the removalble/quick change turret...install a Lee Auto powder disc on the flaring die and the turret press simply saves so much time. Quality of ammo. I cannot say that my ammo produced using the Lee turret press shoots any better than factory ammo. But it groups as well as factory ammo and of course...there is a huge savings. Function....easy to change die selection. Change from sizing to flaring...just rotate the three or four hole turret and go. Change caliber...rotate and pull out the turret and install a different caliber. Rifle or pistol makes no difference. I size 223/9mm/40 S&W/45 ACP/ 308 Win. I do factory crimp with another Lee press set up. Factory crimp die functions best on a single stage press. Quantity....I can load 50 rounds with components at hand in less than 30 minutes. But that is priming my cases with a Lee hand held primer tool. Just the way I do my priming and have for over 25 years...never had a dud or slam fire. Average cost to reload a box of fifty rounds is $4.00 and that includes lead for casting. The Lee turret press is well made and produces excellent ammo at a fraction of the cost of factory ammo. Ease of operation.....which is smooth plus a lot less set up time once you have individual turrets ready to go. The Lee non progressive turret press is a really great non complicated reloading tool.

I think this press will ...

I think this press will do, if you know how to use it. I just got the 4 hole update kit for it, much better than doing it manual. It lets me take 3 Lee reloaders off my bench. Lube it with John Deere Powdered Graphite, and you will be happy!! Do the auto disk also.

A top value for the ...

A top value for the beginner or someone wanting to graduate from a single stage. I now recommend THIS as the best first press to start with over any SS press! Leave the dies set up...switching back and forth to different stages or even calibers is simple. It's a major convenience for very little added cost. Say you goober up a few rounds and "oh man I need 3 more for an even 20" no problem just rotate back deprime/size 3 more pull em out prime (I like the auto prime myself...have never tried the one the press has) seat and crimp (love the factory crimp die to) bam...your done. Imagine all the swapping and resetting the poor SS press owner would go through. BUY IT! or get the auto indexing 4 hole!

For the price I wanted to give the turrent press a try. Excellent value. I size, flare, remove the brass to prime with Lee priming tool, then charge, and return to the press to seat the bullet. I was amazed at the time saved. Whish I had bought this 20 year ago. No more single stage!
