Includes an upgraded trigger, trigger spring, disconnector and hammer spring. Easily installed, with a crisp single stage 3 lb pull. Adjustment tool included.

Technical Information

Fits:

This model fits most AR-15 rifles with hammer and sear pin diameters of .154".

"Small pin" refers to the diameter of the hammer pin.
Kit Contains:

Trigger

Disconnector

Special spring set
Features:

A refined, custom trigger kit for the AR-15 that will reduce the weight of pull to as low as 3 to 3.5 lbs with no take-up or creep and a great reset time.

They are single-stage triggers but can be used for DCM by using the stock spring.

Trigger set requires installation, but no permanent modification and only simple tools like punches and mallets.

The system is compatible with the original hammer unless it has been modified.

Instructions are included.
Notes:

Customers with older Colt rifles, or rifles from Bushmaster, DPMS, or almost any other source have a hammer and sear pin diameter of .154" and should purchase "small pin" parts.

Current production Colt rifles, have a pin diameter of .169" - .170".

Customers with current production Colt rifles should purchase "Large Pin" parts.

JP AR-15 triggers require careful adjustment.

This product is an excellent upgrade for the serious shooter of the AR-15 platform. I cannot say enough in it's praise. I went from a measured 8lb to 3-1/4lb trigger-pull in less than an hour. Zero creep, smooth clean break. I used a vertical belt sander and removed too much material from the disconnector and wound up with a potential "double-firing" system, but that was easily cured by replacing my "over-filed" JP disconnector with the original Bushmaster disconnector - it fit and performed without modification. This trigger system was installed in a factory Bushmaster lower. I did have to "round-off" the top of the back of the JP trigger to get it to fit under the safety but no additional fitting was required. I used the original Bushmaster hammer as well. Just take your time, watch the included video to get a sense of the process and follow the directions and you should be fine. I would recommend honing or hand-filing the disconnector as it does not take much material removal to make it fit correctly. Midway is my "go-to" source for all of my accessory needs - this product is a winner!

I installed this in a 5.56 DPMS Oracle. The original trigger pull averaged 5 Lbs 10 Oz. The springs and polishing were easy. New trigger pull was much lower than expected. 3 Lbs 5 Oz. I was worried it would not fire. It fired both Winchester and Federal ammo. Only problem, the gun went full auto until the magazine was empty. I made sure I released the trigger after that and it went full auto about a third of the time. Springs are coming out before my next range session.

Competition AR-15 trigger

I shopped around quite a bit before choosing this product. This a quality product for a reasonable cost unlike some other manufacturer offerings. The trigger went in easily and is a real upgrade from the factory model. This gun is used for hunting so a tactical trigger just does not work. It's a nice trigger with a crisp pull. Beware predators!

I own 10 AR-15's and this is the first aftermarket trigger I've installed. All I can say is wow. I am going to be getting more aftermarket triggers after trying out this bad boy. Instalation was easy and with the adjustments this thing has practically no take up or over travel. If you have been wondering wether or not to try an aftermarket I would recomend it.

This my fifth install of this fire control package and I could'nt be happier. Install takes a little while, but the results are always the same, a trigger that breaks clean with no creep and no over travel with a pull that is predicable every time. I considered a drop in trigger this time, but after reviewing them, I went with what works best for me.

Had a Gunsmith install this for me as I did not have the tools for the job and I wanted it done right. Took my AR-15 to the range for a test round of shooting and found it was the best addition to my equipment I could imagine. The trigger broke clean at around 3 pounds. Accuracy was improved. I hit all the large and small targets out to the limit of my gun range and what I could see on my scope..

Put this trigger in my second AR-15 Lower build and i am very pleased. If your looking for a crisp trigger pull with negligible creep and crisp break this is it. 0n my first AR-15 lower used a Timney drop in which has a lot of creep for a single stage trigger. I shoot Rem bolt guns alot this trigger has the feel of a bolt gun single stage trigger with a crisp break clean. I am new to shooting AR platform so this to me is a big plus. I have 3 AR uppers 300AAC 16" / 6X45 20" / Model 1 223 Rem 24" all parts from midway and i have to say with this trigger my 100 yard groups with reloads i can shoot one hole groups with all 3 uppers if i do my part as the shooter. Follow the JP instructions and take your time and you will rewarded with a great do it your self trigger job. Just another plug spend the extra $$ for the JP anti walk pin kit as it makes this trigger even smoother to pull. Thanks Midway for a great trigger upgrade for the AR rifles.

Installed this on my AR and it was amazing the difference. It's a lot smoother, and a lot less pull. The lower pull weight allows me to stay on target much better. Would recommend to anybody.

This trigger does not just need "only simple tools like punches and mallets". You will need a grinder to grind the disconnector and trigger safety engagement. JP says it is designed that way. It took me a couple weeks just to acquire all the tools I needed, when I thought this was just a "drop-in". That said, the instructional DVD is awesome and I learned a lot more about the AR trigger system. The trigger breaks cleanly at 3.7-4.0 lbs, and I'm excited to try it out at the range.

Like everybody else said.....it is a sweet trigger. Very easy to install and the enclosed CD gives a great insight to the mechanical operation. In 30-minutes it was done and it is a nice, crisp break with zero overtravel. Well worth the $$ spent and feels better than my two other Timney triggers.
