These slugs are amazing ...

These slugs are amazing in my 18.5" Benelli M2 Tactical. Stout loads no doubt, but I'm still amazed at how well they group from an Improved Cylinder choke. For what I do, and based on the way these slugs perform, there is no need to pay more for slugs.

These slugs are great performers. I just fired three boxes through a Glenfield 778 pump with a 19 inch smoothbore sighted barrel earlier today. At 50 yards, me and my fellow shooter could put three shots in a 2 1/2 inch group easily, considering that the sights almost cover an eight inch target at that range. Out of curiosity, we also took a few pokes at a 100 yard 10 inch Birchwood Casey target. We were able to easily maintain five inch groups with the irons. If I could mount a scope on the gun, I would be able to keep a three inch group without much effort. But, keep in mind that these things are magnums and their recoil will remind you with every shot. But, to counter this hindrance, they'll hit like a sack of bricks on the muzzle end. These rounds would be terrific for anything from whitetails all the way up to bear and moose.

I've used these out of my smooth barrel Remington 1187. I haven't tested them for accuracy on paper. However, I shot a buck with one at about 35 yards. He went about 20 yards before realizing his lungs were missing. I would highly recommend these if you are looking for a relatively cheap slug that performs good on deer.

I use the 3" slugger in my scoped/rifled Mossberg 500. 4 inch groups at 91 yards...just haven't put it to the true test yet.
