Product Information

Some shooters carry more than on model of handgun. This holster is made to accomodate all of those guns. Designed to fit the popular Glock, Springfield XD (9mm, 40 S&W) and 1911 models. Adjustable from FBI cant to straight drop. For right hand only. Fits belts up to 1-3/4" wide.

Notes:

This holster will accomodate 1911s, open muzzle for different barrel lengths.

Adjustable from FBI cant (muzzle slightly rear) to straight drop.

Two belt loops may be used for belts from 1.25" to 1.75"

IDPA approved.

Ipurchased the IWB for my ...

Ipurchased the IWB for my Springfield Armory TRP operator, 1911. When I got the holster it looked great but thats about the only thing that was good with this holster. When I holstered my 1911 the side of the holster disengaged my thumb safety. I had to wait over 3 weeks for the thing which was advised when I oprdered and I wasn't waiting for it to be returned and then sent a new one. I had to use a Dremmel tool to remove about 1/2 inch of holster sweat guard so I could holster the wpn & keep the safety engaged. I will be sticking with a Blackhawk SERPA from now on.

This is not the standard ...

This is not the standard sized Blade-Tech IWB holster for the 1911 type pistol, but a radically shortened version, more like a IWB Yaqui slide. The image in the Midway catalog didn't match the holster I received. The actual holster is about an inch shorter and ended just in front of the triggerguard, so it doesn't provide much protection for the pistol. The quality appeared very good. I returned the holster to Midway and ordered item 691-764. This holster is $20 less than the standard IWB model and would work especially well for the mini-sized 1911 pistols.

I've had this holster for about a month now and have found it to be a really good choice for every day carry. It fits my 1911 gov't. perfectly and conceals very well. You almost forget you are carrying and that's something with a 1911.

Have had it for almost 2 ...

Have had it for almost 2 years. Works great and conceals my 1911 GOVT. Very Well. PR has a very hot and humid climate year round, this holster is optimal for tropical climates.

Blade-tech makes some of ...

Blade-tech makes some of the best kydex holsters I have seen. This one was no exception. Although it does not provide the custom fit that one made specifically for your type of firearm would it is still great for concealing a 1911. The only reason I gave it four stars it that it did not fit my Glock 19.

This is a "universal" ...

This is a "universal" holster for the 1911 family, not all semi-autos. I didn't care for the fit and function of the holster until I found out Bladetech has optional J-hooks instead of the snap-loops. After the belt loop swap I now love the holster, it rides very tight sturdy and secure.

The holster was good for ...

The holster was good for my .45 1911 but when I used it to carry my G-19 it felt top heavy, did not stay in my waist line very well and was difficult to draw from. The tension screw needed to be loosened way to much to allow for a smooth draw with the Glock. I would recommend it for those with 1911 type pistols.

Blade-tech makes 4 ...

Blade-tech makes 4 versions of this holster: 1911, Glock (9/40/357), Glock (10/45), and XD. The other reviewers purchased the wrong holsters. I have contacted midway to update their information. I have one of these for my 1911s (carry both commander and gov't) and my glocks (17 and 32). they are awesome.
