Purchased for my 44mag and 357 lever action rifles, and it works very well! Both rifles have 20 in barrels, and I wanted the scabbard a bit longer to cover more of the rifle. The buttstock for each rifle sticks out just enough to grab a hold of it while mounted, or strapped to an ATV.The leather is good quality, saddle leather, and the finish appears well done. The leather is initially stiff which is expected with good quality leather. Look forward to many years of use from this!

This leather rifle (unscoped) scabbard is constructed of tough, oiled, premium cowhide leather. It resists water, cleans up with a soft damp rag, provides shock protection to my rifle whether it is on my ATV, horse, or just lying around camp. It attaches easily to my ATV 4-wheeler, and certainly to the saddle. I find it the perfect solution to the problem of handling, carrying, and protecting my rifle with a "natural" product, rather than one made of cordura nylon, or one of those garish prefab plastic cases made for ATV's and the like. I am a SASS member, too, and find this scabbard is not only functional, but appealing in appearance, rustic and original as those used in the 19th century American west. I use it to carry my firearm to and from matches, to and from the field, and to store it in at home, as well. It doesn't completely close up like zippered cases, and therefore allows air to circulate around the rifle, preventing mold, mildew, and the other effects that can result from keeping rifles enclosed in zippered cases. All in all, I find the scabbard superb in construction, use, and design. Thank you, Midway, for continued customer satisfaction with your product lines.

This was my first purchase from MidwayUSA. This is an excellent piece for the money. The leather was really stiff but I worked it with a couple of ounces of commercial boot dressing (pine oil and mink oil)and now my Ruger 10/22 DSP fits in there like a glove.

This is truly a heavy-duty scabbard. Im very impressed with the quality. I looked on ebay, at firearm suppliers and at all of the scabbards offered by MidwayUSA before I bought this one and honestly didnt think that I could buy a scabbard this good for the price. In my opinion, you wont go wrong buying this one, if you are looking for top-quality, good-looking, simple-design, easy on the pocketbook, leather scabbard.

Excellent leather product from Midway and Triple-K of San Diego CA! My scabbard arrived nicely oiled and without any shipping scratches or blemish marks on it. I purchased the UN-LINED version for un-scoped lever action rifles with 26 inch barrels for my Winchester 1886 takedown an Marlin 1895 cowboy models with open or peep sights. Triple-K also makes 22 and 24 inch versions for carbines and rifles, as well as a warmly LINED version with some type of sheepish or shear-ling material inside, in all the same 22, 24 and 26 inch lengths. I once paid a price premium for a similar item mis-spelled as a SCARBOARD on ebay, and Midways prices are even lower that retail prices on Triple-Ks website. I plan to purchase more leather products from Triple-K, such as their stylish but functional work belts, rifle slings, cartidge and shot shell carriers, etc.
