Product Information

Cast Performance Flat Nose Gas Check bullets are cast from virgin alloy and produced in extremely precise and consistent LBT style molds. Optimal hardness from heat-treating prevents fragmentation on even the toughest hide and bone. Cast Performance Bullets are known to not lead your bore and feature a specialized lube allowing bullets to be shot at high velocities. Load data is included with most of the bullets.

I prefer these bullets over the 200 grain gas check bullets as they have a wider meplat which helps transfer energy into the target. I can also obtain substantially more velocity at lower pressures with the 187 grain bullets than the 13 grain weight difference would suggest. This is due to a larger portion of the bullet mass being located in the bullet nose. This configuration really shines in the heavier bullets where more of the bullet body needs to extend into the case and was the impetus for Elmer Keith to design his style of bullet. It is worth noting that this bullet will not cycle in my 92 lever gun due to the wide long nose. However, it is magnificent in my Blackhawk and Model 27 on top of heavy charges of Accurate 4100 or Hodgon H110.

The 187gr Cast Performance flat points hit game like a semi truck out of my 357mag rifle and pistol. These are true heavyweights in 357 bullets. They shoot with good accuracy, nice hardness not leading my bore bad at all. When I need a true heavy bullet for big wild hogs, I always grab a handfull of ammo loaded with these 187gr CP bullets.

Great bullets. I also ordered the 180 gr. and it works best for me because I wanted a load for my 357 rifle that would work well in my pistol and it works better
