Winchester Supreme Elite XP3's were designed for any game, whether it's for an African safari or a day in the North American wilderness. Because of their 2-stage expansion, this design provides extreme knockdown power as well as deep muscle and bone penetration, quickly stopping any animal in its tracks. Features a Lubalox coating to reduce barrel fouling and engraving force. Ideal for thin-skinned game, like deer and antelope, as well as elk, moose, bear, and African animals, at short and long ranges.

This is a very good ...

This is a very good round. It really puts the deer down fast. You don't have to worry about tracking them when using this ammo. It's great. Keep up the good work Wincheter. Great Job.

Top of the line really. ...

Top of the line really. 100 yard shots all within a quarter. Don't cause any noticeable extra barrel heat neither. My model 70 throws them right with my 180 Hornady, 165 Hornady, and 150 xp3's. Maybe I've got a pretty good Winchester. Very high quality round though. Happy hunting.

Excellent round for mule ...

Excellent round for mule deer and big whitetails! Shoots sub MOA from my custom .300 Win Mag (Remington 700 action, Shilen barrel). Put down a South Dakota 5x5 mule deer in his tracks at 60 yards and a 160 class white tail heart shot at 486 yards. Too much round for smaller bodied deer at closer ranges (bullet passed through with no blood trail at all in my only experience).

Today, Nov. 30th, was the ...

Today, Nov. 30th, was the first day of PA rifle season. After a few hours of waiting, a half rack buck came up behind me about 30 yards, and he was with another small buck. I couldn't move or else they would spook, so before I knew it, they were 8 yards from me. The buck up front raised his tail and took off when he saw me, but the other one kind off trotted off too. That is when I raised the gun, and I whistled, and the buck stop and offered a quartering away shot. I shot and the bullet entered low behind the left shoulder, just missing the heart. The bullet had some amazing penetration and upon exiting, it broke the right leg below the shoulder. He managed to run about 60 yards on one leg, but he died quick and didn't suffer. The entrance and exit holes were actually pretty close in diameter, and upon field dressing him, there was absolutely no evidence of fragmentation. The XP3 performed fine for me, and it surely is suitable for smaller CXP2 game.

My Tikka T3 seems to like ...

My Tikka T3 seems to like these 180gr XP3 loads. Groups range from .39" (3 shot group) on the low side to just around 1" on the high side depending on the day. Shot two hogs with one shot using these, and was not able to recover the bullet. It passed straight through the base of the neck/forward shoulder on the first hog (~200lb) and continued all the way through the shoulder and exited the ham on a 30lb hog that I lined up behind it. Shot was at 40yds. Amazing penetration. Didn't make a very large exit hole on the larger hog, but it still dropped it right in its tracks.
