This won't turn a dull blade to razor sharp, but it will create a decent edge. For the price and convenience, it's a good buy, but don't expect it to recreate an out-of-the-box razor sharp knife.

This is an amazing sharpener, does the most fantastic job for sharpening any knife blade. My Gerber knife with a tachide handle, I use for everyday carry and hunting is still very sharp and looks like the day I bought it. This product really works and is very good at doing its job. This is outstanding, I've been using a Lansky system on my pocket knife for years, but I balk at hauling it out and often let my blade dull more than I should. It took about 10-15 swipes on the 'medium' side to reprofile the blade, and a few swipes on the 'fine' side to finish it off. My blade is good and sharp now, and I have no excuse for ever letting it dull at all. At such a low price, I'll be buying several more of these to keep one handy at all times.

Conveniently small and easy to use. I prefer this over more traditional whetstones. The only issue is knife serration, but then again, it does a little better than most alternatives.

I have several of these. I keep one at home, in my camper, and in my pack. It your knife starts getting dull during field dressing and skinning, just give it a few swipes on the sharpener and you're back in business.
