I set this die to only ...

I set this die to only push back the shoulder 0.002" from as-fired size for reliable function in my LR-308 and at the same time get absolute minimal case stretching over time. I especially like to use this die in station 2 of my progressive press and a Lee collet neck sizer die in station one. That way I get minimal neck lengthening and more firings between case trimmings and longer case life - a cost and time saver when using a progressive press. This die, like all Redding dies I've used, is smooth enough inside for easy sizing and no sticking with a minimally thin layer of Hornady One-Shot lube, which results in a consistent size and straight case.

Perfect for the job. Sizes the body and leaves the neck alone. Redding has the best production reloading dies hands down.
