Comments about Bog-Pod RLD-3 (Red Legged Devil) Tall Tripod Shooting Sticks 22" to 68" Swivel Head All-Terrain Feet Black and Red:

I purchased this tripod a few years back to prepare for a Tanzanian safari, on which I knew I'd be using shooting sticks. For a standing shot in excess of 150yds, the tripod is invaluable. As with any shooting device, a bit of practice is required. Fairly quickly, however, I found I could shoot (standing) nearly as well off the "sticks" as from a bench rest. Since then, I've carried this tripod on caribou and pronghorn hunts where shots can be long and have found it very useful both as a shooting assist and a walking stick. The Bog-Pod is very well made and sturdy, and has survived both bush plane and commercial airline flights. I recommend it (but be sure to practice with it before your hunt). I would have purchased the camo version, but this was not available at the time I made my purchase.
