The Tipton Bore Brush Set 8-Piece pistol is made from premium phosphor bronze bristles with a steel core for long life and cleaning power. Includes brushes for 22, 25, 32, 9mm/38/357, 40, 44, 45 and 480 calibers. All brushes have standard 8 x 32 male threads and come packaged in a durable, hinged plastic box with marked slots.

Like the jag set I also bought, this is very helpful. My only complaint is that there was no marking of brush sizes in mine. Easily solved, but would have been nice. Overall though, very happy and would highly recommend.

I was looking for a general brush set for cleaning handguns, and wanted a few different sizes all stored in one place so that I would not misplace one when I needed it. This set fit the requirement perfectly.I looked at some other reviews, and a common comment was that the sized were not listed even though the product description said they were. I decided to take the chance because I really wanted the convenience of the storage box most of all.When I received the order, I peeled off all the stickers and checked the product....and sure enough, I could not tell which brushes were for what calibers except if I looked on the metal end of the brush itself. HOWEVER....the next morning, I decided to look at it again in the bright daylight by the window.....and sure enough, every brush has the size range printed right there on the box by each hole. (I guess I can no longer deny that the time for reading glasses is finally here!).So, once I polished up the plastic container box, I can see all of the sizes just fine. It seems like there was a slight film on the plastic box - maybe from plastic molding process -- and it was just enough to obsure the raised numbers at first glance.I highly recommend this handy storage container for all of the pistol cleaning brushes you need in one place instead of misplacing the individual container tubes right when you need them!

Oh how I wish I'd of bought one of these years ago. Well made in a case with labels to identify caliber. Plus it is cheap. Good deal at twice the price.

I like this product a lot - the case keeps things neatly labeled and organized as well as protected from getting bent. It could be that the fellow who only gave one star got a dud product because mine is fine - the brushes are well made and function as advertised.

As noted in other reviews, it is an excellent little set, however the case that I received was not labeled for size and other than the .22 and .25 brushes they had no size marking on them either. It was easy enough to make a label and attach it to the front of the lid, though. All but one brush was stamped "USA". It is nice to see American made products. The holes into which the brushes fit in the case are precise enough, that if you have any old brushes around whose size you are not sure of, it is easy to tell by trying it in the different holes.
