Heavy duty/rock solid ...

Heavy duty/rock solid Picatinny adapter! I use it on my 50BMG rifle. Coupled with the nice features of the VersaPod, I like it. Even has the sling attachment. Has held up to the recoil so far. I'm sure the bipod will give before the adapter.

I picked one of these up just after christmas for mounting my 50 series versa-pod onto the RIS of my FAL. I was hoping to get something simple and rugged... which is exactly what I got. The lockup between the mounting adapter and picatinny rail is rock solid - I think it'd take some serious doing to break/beat it off, even with the aid of a hammer. The adapter is light enough that you won't notice a weight difference on any but the absolute lightest rifles. And like any other Versa-pod adapter, attachment and detatchment of the bipod from the adapter is quick, easy, and positive. One of my favorite things about the adapter is that coupled with a Rail Interface System handguard on your FAL, M1A, or AR15 you can mount your bipod anywhere from back near the action all the way out to under the front sight, leaving the old way of having to use whatever point was available on the underside of the stock or hole drilled in the handguard (regardless of how comfortable it was for you) to be a thing of the past.I love mine; none of the worries of twisting the mounting adapter or having your bipod loosen up, which are problems I've had with every other type of bipod and mount I've tried.
