This is going to be my all duty bullet, price is right ,they load very easily, no leading in barrel of my Smith And Wesson Mod 60. being a hollow pt. makes them an option for defense ammo as well . I use Hp-38 with great accuracy!

I was excited when I got this bullet in the mail the other day and was glad to finally get it loaded up. My issue with the round is that after several expansion tests, the bullet went through nearly 2 feet of water medium and trucked out the side, ricocheted off tree and went into the forest. This also given the fact that I was standing 20 feet away and using a standard 4" for the test. Checking out the entrance and the exit holes, it did not expand at all (after 24 inches of penetration). I am very disappointed in this round, but will most likely melt the lead and cast it in something else like a rifle round. I found my batch to be harder than I expected, which is both good and bad considering what you want this round to do. The hole does need to be bigger and the BH needs to be blended a couple of points lower the next time they cast this alloy.

Great for .38 caliber and ...

Great for .38 caliber and 9MM too! I resized these 158-grain .38 caliber Hornady SWC HP bullets with a .356" Lee Lube and Size Kit. I test fired 9 rounds, which yielded a 9-shot, 1.3" group at 10 yards with a cheap S&W DOA combat pistol. That beats my previous best of 3.5" with various store brands and reloads.These bullets are great for accuracy in both .38 and 9mm, and they don't lead my 9MM barrel at all. My Taurus .357 Mag barrel did receive a small amount of leading, as per normal for any medium/soft lead bullets I've pushed past 950 fps.I'll buy a bigger lot next time. Good price. Quick shipments. Terrific product.

I was hesitant to try these due to the unconventional "knurling" around them and the small hollow point, but they've proven to be very uniform, consistent bullets--very they're easy to load, and group very tight. (Still would like a bigger hole in front! Hello, Speer?) My launching platform is an Airweight S&W, and 15yd groups of 2" are common if I buckle down. They certainly aren't hard cast, tho! I've been spoiled by jacked bullets--be ready to clean lead outta your barrel, especially if you're on the edge of +P loads like I load. They easily duplicate factory LSWCHP loads.

someone stated that the hole in the front is too small but I do not think this makes a difference. but the lead is soft enough that it can be swaged bigger. I used the brass pointed nose of a power belt bullet starter. I have also used the 44 cal version of this bullet and found that it did not expand at 44 spl velocities.
