The Tactical Stock has a full length aluminum bedding block for added strength and accuracy, an adjustable spacer system allowing for .75" of adjustment in length of pull, a rail integrated into the bottom of the forend to mount a bipod and four swivel studs for customized carry options. This stock is designed for use on Savage factory rifles with action screw spacing of 5.062" center to center.

Awesome stock for the SAVAGE 110 LA series rifles...if your looking here at one you know that there are not a whole lot of options out there for the LA Savage...no one seems to support it. If you are building a SA short action your choices are almost limitless...I searched high and low for a stock that was READILY available without waiting weeks/months for a custom stock. I ended up ordering this one from Midway. I could not be more pleased...I am a former USMC Armorer Match Armorer and have seen some excellent stocks in my time. The .Gov spares no expense. This stock is right up there with fit and finish with any of the competition that costs twice/three/four times as much and takes forever to get. My 110FP action fit right in first try...extremely snug fit. I did find one place where the stock contacted the barrel but a single edge razor and some fine sandpaper took care of that in about 5 minutes and it was 100% free floated with the ONLY contact points on the entire stock being the actions screws, the recoil lug butted up against the machined aluminum bedding block and the actual action bottom resting into the Aluminum V-Block machined into the stock. The ergonomics of the stack are on par with all of the "High End" stocks offered out there...I laughingly refer to mine as a "Poor Mans A5/T4" I could not be happier...I will buy another to build a short action on.

I got what I expected and that is a decent stock for the money spent. Pretty solid stock and feels good with the vertical grip, but could use some texture. Butt end is hollow, so I'll be filling that with fiberglass resin. Sling swivels rattle. The aluminum bedding block is a V shape, so I'll bed the action. I will likely buy another one in short action.

Very good product. Built for a budget switch barrel rig. Plenty of room in the barrel channel. and a 16th all around the action. Might wanna skim coat if you want a tighter look but as far a function you will be very happy.

After looking everywhere online and in magazines, I finally settled on this stock for my Savage 110 in .30-06 I've had for years. Settling on this stock took me some months and actually commiting to purchasing took a few months more. Impressions: As soon as I took this stock out of the box, I was excited. It is a fantastic looking and feeling stock. I was also happy with the heavy weight of it. The biggest problem I have with my Savage as it is, was that it was such a lightweight that the recoil would bounce you way off target each shot. It fit like it should when I put in on, completely free floated and boy what a different identity it instantly added to the rifle. Like a whole new rifle. I can't wait to duracoat the whole thing next. The only thing I do not much like is that the action screws use two different size wreches which is inconvenient.

This stock is seriously awesome. The semi-pistol grip allows me to use my right handed bolt rifle left handed. The bi-pod adapter confused me at first, but after I mounted a Harris bi-pod, I realized that the tension of the bi-pod holds the adapter in place. Haven't shot the rifle yet, so I don't know if the recoil of the rifle will cause the bi-pod to move out of place or not. Guess I'll have to find out.

If you love tactical stocks, you're not gonna find a nice stock for a savage under 225 bucks. I plan on doing some work on mine and bedding with devcon plastisteel. I figure when its done it will be as good as any stock I could buy for any price. Some people don't like the fact that its a tad heavy, but shooting magnums I don't mind the weight at all.

I purchased this stock for a custom build on an older Savage 110. It was custom re-barreled with a #7 Douglas premium barrel 1-10 and the barrel nut was eliminated. We chambered it in 30.06 Ackley Improved for a 1000 yd tactical match rifle. The fit would have been perfect with the stock trigger group but I had installed an Aftermarket trigger and some slight work with a Dremel tool put it right in. I did skim bed the receiver with Devcon and bedded the recoil lug to fill the oversized void made into the stock. This was expected work as I bed all my rifles anyway. After that work was completed the rifle was fired and I must say that it was a very comfortable fit, and the rifle performed beyond expectations. These stocks are well made and the full length aluminum bedding block stabilizes the action very well. The front rail slot and provided t-rail allows for a very nice option of positioning the bipod at whatever position you desire. I feel this is a great stock and compares nicely to stocks from brand (insert makers name here) at a great value. Plans to build another rifle are in the works in .223 and after using this stock that aspect of the build will be a no brainer. It would be nice if the trigger guard was metal instead of plastic, but that is just a personal thing as the provided plastic part is tough and works very well, and the included action screws are a perfect fit providing for a very stable system when properly torqued. I wouldn't consider this a "Budget Stock" in any sense of the word. A great value for the money spent is a better choice of words for this stock!

It is a good replacement stock for its price. It is light weight and easy to shoulder and aim. The stock lacks some texture for easy gripping. It is V-bedded which you or your gunsmith would need to work on to get the action aligned well. I was planning on using this stock to build a 300WM on a long action to go varminting.

I purchased this stock for use on a custom build 300WM Savage Model 111. Since the 111 comes with the factory detachable magazine, I had to inlet the stock for that. But everything fit perfectly and I personally like the feel of the rifle. The choate stock is very rigid and while it is on the heavy side for aftermarket stocks, it looks like it can take a beating and still do its job. It does fill a void in tactical stocks for the Savage long action rifles. Especially if you are on a budget. For me the Choate is a no nonsense, attractively priced and fully functional tactical stock. Can't say how it shoots yet, waiting for the PSTs to be released.
