This kit has just about everything needed to get started reloading. The "O" frame design creates a sturdy press for years and years of reloading. The quick change function allows standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies to be changed with the twist of a wrist. The press is made from ASTM 380 Aluminum, has 3-offset mounting holes, a 3-1/2" ram stroke and can handle cartridge lengths from the short 0.905" 25 ACP to the long 3.750" 460 Weatherby

Great little press. The ...

Great little press. The Anniversary kit has the Safety prime press mounted tray and trigger system rather than the hand held priming system. I've used this systems to load 9mm Luger, short mags and the 375 H&H with good success. It has plenty of capacity and strength, making it a major value for experienced and new handloaders.The Beech Lock Quick Change die system is a single bushing design that addresses the deficiencies found in other products with similar intent. The Breech Lock press can used in both quick change and conventional die change configurations. I purchased two kits this year as gifts for family members who wanted to begin handloading and needed a good start.

Iv been reloading for over 40 years and used a lot of Lee products in that time( and many others) Most items in this Kit are good, the powder thrower looks cheap( and it is) But properly used and set up its ok( with course rifle powders even the best throwers will show variations from throw to throw) As for the powder Scale its a waste of time and in my opinion Dangerous, with older eyes like mine its just to hard to read, and very hard for beginners to get their head around, Just Chuck it in the bin, and But a Better Scale( nothing cheap there is no substitute for a Good Scale in this game) I rang Mr Lee and shared my concerns with him about the Scale He did say that If no one complains then They don't know that there is a problem and Thanked me for the call. Mr Lee would do much better if he were to swap out that useless beam scale of his and replace it with a reliable Electric unit that they are now selling? as for Lee Dies Mostly they are Great but some times their quality control lets them down, I have a 243Win sizer die that sizes the body of the case well but not the neck of the case? the bullets will fall out most times Unless Im using thicker European made PPU brass( all Winchester and Remington brass is now under size "federal to a lesser degree" ) Its the old story of you get what you pay for. The newer Lee presses are Great and hard to Fault particularly the Cast iron models, But even the cast Alloy ones work great Just keep the lube up to them on both the ram and the case/dies and you will get long life from them. New to reloading and this is my first press. The press itself is solid and well made. The powder throw is off every throw by .2, it may just be me. Scale magnet does not always level out so I invested in a digital. Auto primer is advertised to always put the primer in the correct side but does not. As I said before I am a beginner so a lot of this may just be me. All and all good set up I would suggest it to other people.

Excellent for beginners. I bought it about 6 months ago and ran 1100 rounds through it, 100 30-06 and 1000 9mm. Not one problem with it. The only thing I would change is buying a digital scale. If you are looking to start reloading, I would try and see if anyone will let me borrow it to get the hang of reloading. I say that because I am now looking for a progressive press because it does take some time for loading a large quantity.

This is an "OK" little set up. The powder measure does leak a little which is not too much of an issue. The Primer feed is a little tricky at times but my major complaint is the SCALE..... What a joke. I actually have 2 Lee scales and they are garbage. When it's all said and done, I wish I had purchased another brand name. Now that I have to buy another scale(reliable), I ended up loosing in the long run on what I thought was a deal. This is a great beginner set up don't get me wrong but keep your fingers crossed hoping you get a good scale with yours or it is NOT WORTH IT.

I bought this to teach myself how to reload. I strongly recommend it. Remember that you will need to buy a couple things specific to the cartridge you want to reload in addition to what is in this kit (reloading dies and brass case trimmer). Some things which I also strongly recommend for the beginner: powder trickle, micrometer (caliper), and at least two loading trays. I also bought an RCBS Precision Mic for my cartridge which I was glad to have.

This is my first setup since I am new to reloading and I find it an easy setup, the instructions are simple and get you reloading in no time. I was not too fond of the scale as it was very picky on being on a level bench and with my bench not being exactly level I had a hard time getting it zeroed and while setting up other stuff on my bench I knocked it off and it fell about 4ft hitting concrete which broke the plastic where the ball is at so I ordered a Hornady digital scale through midway and I have not looked back the powder measure works great and gives you consistent loads I would recommend it to anybody looking to get into reloading on a budget it's worth the money I have loaded a couple hundred rounds of .45acp and .223

-Started reloading 223 with this without prior experience. -Kit is the best place to start. you definitely will be spending more on other items but there is absolutely no reason in my opinion to spend huge $$ on the other manufacturers presses unless cash is no object. Lee products are great, made in the USA and I will continue to buy products made by them. *If you are a tinkerer lee products will perform well for you. on a few occasions with lee products i have had to make slight modifications to get them to work. For example one of the screws on the safety prime had threads that didn't match up to the press. So rather than strip the aluminum on the press I made my own new screw by cutting down a 1/4 20 screw I had laying around. ( basically if you are not very handy / mechanically inclined you may want to dig deeper and buy the more expensive presses. )

Got this kit for my son for Christmas. It's amazingly simple to use this. After loading a couple of hundred, I think I want some digital scales. I'm having trouble with them sticking. The rest is great and the scales are just a personal preference. Relaoding is a lot of fun and this kit is well worth the money. Get it.

An excellent setup to get into reloading without spending a ton of money.The scale, while it takes some patience to use, does seem to be quite accurate. I WILL likely replace it however, with something that feels a little sturdier. It's very light weight, and the beam is made of plastic. With that said, it works perfectly.I've loaded around 800 rounds of pistol ammo (10mm), and have had no problems with any of the parts it came with, EXCEPT...The primer pocket cleaner was manufactured incorrectly on the large primer side of it. An email to Lee, and they dropped a new one in the mail without requiring me to return the old one.For the money, it can't be beat.

Great product. Thank you Lee for another great item. I won competitions with my .308 Remington 700 A-TACS using AMMO loaded with these products. (Shooting at eggs suspended on rubber bands at various distances out to 300yds.) The powder measure is a little heavy on the first throw, but very consistent after that. The scale is extremely consistent and the press is very rugged and tough. The priming tool is a little unorthodox, however has worked flawlessly for about a thousand rounds so far. Thanks again Midway and Lee. This kit is a great buy and got me started reloading and I would recommend this kit to a good friend.
