Custom Prefit Pads are easily installed after removal of existing stock pad. These recoil pads offer innovative recoil reduction technology that absorbs recoil and vibration through a unique three step process using a proprietary material NAVCOM. The superior Limbsaver recoil reduction system allows greater access to the shooting sports. May require minor fitting on some models. Mounting screws not included. This recoil pad didn't even come close to fitting my Mossberg 500. I purchased my shotgun in the late 80's, so I'm not sure if Mossberg changed the butt-stock design at some point. Words to the wise, (apparently) this recoil pad will not fit older model Mossberg 500 shotguns.

Fit my mossberg 835 synthetic stock no problem. Reduced recoil, and improved comfort overall from 2 3/4 to the baddest 3 1/2 you can find. Impressed with the fit, quality and performance of this product. Highly recommend this product for anyone that goes through 12 ga rounds.

Installed on a 590A1. Fired 100rds of 00 Buck and not even a tingling in the shoulder. I dread to think of what that would have been like with the block of factory rubber. Installation was easy. Armor All or WD 40 on a screwdriver and pull the old pad off and take the screws out and use them on the new pad. Fits perfect.

The recoil pad is slightly large on a Mossberg 500 synthetic stock but doesn't look bad at all. Very efficient at reducing recoil. It was a very easy to install. The holes matched up perfectly. Use the screws that came on the gun. They are easily removed from the stock recoil pad that comes on the gun. After you remove the recoil pad from the gun place the pad on a hard surface like plastic or wood, press down and they come right out (unlike the Remington 870...nightmare). The pad comes with an insert that the instructions don't tell you are for wood stocks only. The stock screws are a medium size Phillips.

The fit was a little tricky. I recommend downloading the butt plate guide and match up your stock before ordering. It took a little sanding to get one of the plastic plates to fit my Mossy 500, but it's on and works like a dream.

This pad was purchase for a model 590 w/synthetic stock. The pad was larger than stock. I contacted the factory to find out if there was enough material to fit the pad to the stock. Pad was to long on toe, I was told pad had 1 inch of solid rubber on toe and I could trim it. I trimmed about 1/2 inch. Pad works great and greatly reduces recoil.

This recoil pad replacement is great on my 835. Using 3-1/2" magnum for turkeys or even 3" it reduces the felt recoil greatly. My 12 year old son used it last year with 3" shell, and it was comfortable for him to shoot. Helps you acquire your target faster for a follow up shot if needed.

Good product works well. Could be slightly better with fit to mossberg 500 stocks which seem to vary a good amount. I have bought 2 so far one fit perfectly on a newer polymer stock the other didnt fit a wood stock which I changed for another polymer stock but didnt matchup perfectly on that. outside of that very nice. handles recoil quite well.

I purchased this for my Mossberg Maverick, fit was perfect and looked better than the factory recoil pad. Performance was fantastic, light game loads transfer almost zero recoil to your shoulder, and heavy loads are felt minimally. I am not sure why I didn't purchased one sooner, but I am glad I did. I now have one on my 30-06 and my Father In-law, who suggested I get one, uses one on his .300 Win Mag.Fantastic product! I absolutely recommend this to anyone that spends any period of time with any firearm.
