I worked these 85 grain ...

I worked these 85 grain InterBonds up for my 240 Hawk. It took a while, changing seating depth and different powders and charge weights to find its sweet spot, but I finally came up with a load that would stay at a 1/2 moa. It would not give me good groups anywhere near max velocity for this round no matter what, but backing them down to 3800 fps with H4831 and seating them 30 off the lands was the ticket for this rifle. I now have my ultimate Sika deer rig! After 4 kills from 90 to 460 yards in two seasons with them, I know I will never carry anything else after these tasty little boogers. All 4 were shot broadside behind the shoulder about center and each of the exit holes you could put your fist through the rib cage. I have yet to recover a bullet and with the results I'm getting, I don't really care. When you open them up it looks as if the insides have been run threw a blender until there is nothing left but foam. I have yet to have one even quiver after the shot and needless to say it plants them on the spot. This is what you need in the marsh environment they inhabit because blood trailing a Sika in the marsh is one tough job for the very best to say the least.

I shot these today with the same load I use for the 87 HPs(RE19)in my 6mm Rem. they did not shoot well, 5 shots at 300 yds went just under 6", still good enough accuracy to hit a deer at that range, but not good enough for my standards, Ill try them again just to verify but the 87 HPs are much more accurate on paper targets, though Interbond bullets work very well on game.

I really like the weight in a bonded bullet, but couldn't get decent accuracy from my 243. I went back to 90gr ballistic tips.

I have had great results with hornady bullets in the past, but these have been very temperamental. I have worked on loads for two rifles, one the best groups I could achieve was over 1.5 moa: the other after many loads I did achieve .347 moa.

After trying to work up loads in a 1 in 9 Douglas SST barrel; that is very finicky! In 6mm Rem this bullet seemed to work the best out of premium bullets, very accurate in this Rem 700. With 4831-MV 3200FPS. Have not taken any game with it but it looks like it will not over penetrate on deer and still hold together.

I thought this bullet would be the cat's meow in my 243. I tried 4 different powders with different seating depths. It would not shoot under 3" in my Tikka T3. Most other brands of bullets consistently shoot under an inch. This particular Hornady bullet does not do it for me.
