Berger's Target VLD bullets are the perfect bullet for the reloader looking for great performing, consistent, accurate long range bullets. The VLD design gives these bullets the highest possible ballistic coefficient meaning they will be less affected by wind and will typically shoot flatter than flat base bullets of the same weight. Target bullets are designed primarily for target shooting but are also effective on larger varmints. This is not loaded ammunition.

Wickedly accurate bullets ...

Wickedly accurate bullets out of my custom .300WM. Bullet weights were very consistent as were their measurements. My rifle preferred them seated just against the lands which is par for Berger VLDs. Chambers with lots of freebore may mean you can't seat into the lands and still get the rounds into a magazine. I shot 2 mule deer with them this fall. Both were DRT (Dead Right There) on impact. Both were hit just behind the shoulder with nice, fist sized exit wounds. The chest contents were a mess but no bullet fragments were found. One was hit at 345yds (lasered) and the other at 287. They also do an excellent job of bucking the wind.

Loaded these for my ...

Loaded these for my brother's 300 win mag and they preformed excellent. We had trouble with the length of the magazine limiting our seating depth in a Thompson center icon resulting in a little accuracy loss. The bullet dropped a 5x6 bull elk at 300 yards almost like you had turned him off! It was one of the shots you see on TV and never expect to do yourself! Will use again no question.
