The UTG Compact Flashlight with Laser combo is constructed completely of lightweight aircraft aluminum which has a hard anodized finish to increase wear resistance. It features an ambidextrous finger adjustment toggle on/off switch and has an integral mounting deck that will fit most rifles or pistols with Weaver-style rails. It is shock and water resistant and comes complete with batteries.

Very good looking unit. No problems with it coming loose or falling off my AR, but after a little use the laser quit working. Flashlight still works great, but I paid for a light/laser combo. Also had some trouble with battery compartment door being difficult to securely close, but once I got it done it stayed closed.

I had one of these for a couple months now, and these are actually pretty good. They can be mounted on rifles and pistols. There is no cross-bar because it is designed to work on pistols rails that don't allow for cross-bar type mounts. The laser is sharp and bright. The light is very bright and is actually a xenon bulb and not halogen. I found that lock-tite on the screws keeps them from loosening up. I would recommend using lock-tite on any scope set-up. Also, the reason the back opens is that the screw securing the battery hatch probably isn't tightened. The way the mechanism locks the batteries in is extremely strong in my opinion, you actually need to use the hex wrench tighten a screw that, when secured, is impossible to open without the wrench. The only concern is that the run time for both laser and light at the same time is only about 3 hours. An LED bulb would be a nice improvement (these last much longer).

I also had problems with the selector switch and lack of a cross bolt, but in addition, the battery compartment pops open under recoil. Second unit; same problem. I like the design, but too many quality issues.

Nice features but a major ...

Nice features but a major design flaw - no cross bar between the rails causes the unit to fly off the gun, no matter how much I tightened the bolts. (My gun is Springfield XD 45 with 5" barrel). First unit - laser did not work. Second unit - switch become flaky, third unit - laser did not work.
