Love this heavy round. This is the heaviest commerial 454 I found and I am really glad I found it. I have purchased a number of boxes at diffrent times. Ammo has been consistant and have never had a ftf. Will buy again!!

These shoot pretty well, but I was very surprised at how they look... ripples and bulges in the cases; Looked like reloads done by a beginner. I wouldn't mind having a mold for making the projectiles that Doubletap puts in 'em though.

Wow, ok. Went thru several boxes of these now. Got a crono to test my 420 gn loads which as I said before don't expand like these do, these are way too soft. Shocker though, 700-750 fps out of my 8 3/8 Raging Bull... Nowhere near 1400fps. My 420's were near 1100... Gonna get them to 1400. These are nowhere near. Same recoil for all the boxes, so I'd say this isn't a bad batch. Won't be buying anymore of these.

You will definitely be awake after you touch off one of these rounds! Make sure that extra recoil pad is on your rifle, cuz you'll need it. This big bad boy is a FREIGHT TRAIN! I need to try some penetration tests sometime. Had a chance to chrony thru my 454 Rossi 92 20". Average 1535 fps, 2093 ft-lbs.

They hit hard, but for a Hardcast, they mushroom out way too much. Shot they a 14 inch timber like nothing, however against some heavier targets, they mushroomed over .75 inch. More than Magtechs hollow points or soft points did. Unacceptable. Arsenic and heat treating or something needed, the bullets I cast barely deform if at all. These are too soft.

Raw Power! This is the biggest and baddest commercial offering in 454. If you go to the range with it take and wear your shooting glove or else. The shooter knows they hold a round that can handle anything North America can throw at them.

This is excellent ammo for the 454 Casull! My Ruger 7.5" barreled Redhawk shoots same point of impact with this ammo as well as the Hornady 300gr XTP's. Accurate ammunition, very hard hitting, and a fair amount of recoil. Buy a box and go hog/elk/moose/bear hunting!

These are the real BIG BOY rounds! Extremely hard hitting. I put the shooting gloves on for these babies. I shoot these out of my Taurus Raging Bull 7-1/2" revolver and the fired brass never sticks and I have never had any problems with this ammo. So far I have shot around 500 rounds and it has been 100% reliable. Very dependable and POWERFULL round!
