The Glock 78 Field Knife has a spring steel blade with a Rockwell Hardness of 50-55 and a black non-reflective coating. The cross bar protects the hand against injuries and can be used as a thumb rest or a bottle-opener. The knife features a slip-resistant polymer handle, includes a Kydex sheath and is perfectly balanced for throwing.

Very well built knife, i have bought 3 of them. True the edge is not perfect from the factory but a little work on a diamond stone will fix that. The thumb break on the sheath takes a little getting use to. I've found the easiest way to release it is to press it from the side pushing out and pulling up on the knife. Bang for the buck its the best deal out there for a field/utility knife.

Pretty much a 98% copy of the NR43 knife from russia. It was, is, and probably will be the best fighting/tactical knife out there in the world.

I bought one of these a week ago from Midway for 21.99. Overall great knife. The edge needed to be reprofiled. It's now razor sharp. I've yet to test it but think it'll be great. Probably going to order a spare soon. Thanks for the deal Larry!!

I have used one of these for years in the field and on the farm. The firm latch is a plus. The blade holds an edge nicely.This is one of my favorite knives because it is very sturdy, durable, and I can keep it sharp.

I like this knife a lot. You get a lot for the money. I would have liked a sharp point rather than the blunt, rounded one, but it works well and is acceptable sharp right out of the box. Well made.

This is easily the best fixed-blade knife I have ever owned. The blade steel is super hard and stays sharp for extended periods. Super tough!!! Last winter I chopped ice out of my gutters with it.

Nicely built knife, comfortable handle and well designed blade. Though I haven't truly put it to the test yet it fully appears to be of very rugged construction, looks like it's been created with abuse in mind. Only gripe is the sheath, specifically the catch. It is very stiff, and difficult to release with one hand, especially if carried on the belt.

Quality construction and well balanced. My wife showed me her easy release method for removing the knife from its sheath while on a belt: place pad of thumb on top of latch, place pad of index finger under the end of the cross bar that is to the rear. Give a little snap (like snapping your fingers), and the catch releases easily. You gotta love a wife that's good with knives.
