The construction of the ...

The construction of the dies are first rate, however, the full length sizer does not size the neck down far enough to give good bullet pull and consistent powder burn. In fact, the die sizes so little that the expander button doesn't even drag on the case mouth on the way out. The case mouth is .307 Dia ID which is not small enough for my purposes.

Always dents or ripples ...

Always dents or ripples cases. Did not matter what kind of lube or how much was used. Took them back to the store and was told this not uncommon. The store has since stopped carrying Redding dies. No air escape hole is drilled in the dies, like others do. Replaced them with RCBS and no more problems.

I own four or five rifle ...

I own four or five rifle die sets by Redding, .222 Rem, .30-06 etc. Couple this die with the optional carbide expander ball and you have the finest bottle neck sizing die on the market. The seating die is marginal as is any fixed body seating die. Shame on you, Redding! For making such a fine die and using a .40 cent lock ring! Use a cross bolt design lock ring and join the 21st century! (The reason for only four stars)

Very nice to set and ...

Very nice to set and stays put. I prefer them over other dies I've tried. Lower nut can set quite hard, so it's a good idea to make sure you got it where you want it before you get too crazy with the hex wrench. Read instructions if it's your first time with these dies... will save you time and frustration.

Kind of expensive but well worth it. The dies work flawlessly (excluding human errors), and the adjustments stay set. I won't buy any dies except Redding.

Redding dies are the only ...

Redding dies are the only brand that always give me zero runout- always perfectly concentric. The FL die is near-small-base, while the NK die (from the 3 die set or available seperately) is near-SAAMI-Max. As a result the NK die will size the body some and is a good match for loose factory chambers. The FL die is good for close custom chambers, semi's, or for partial full-length sizing.
