I have two scopes from BSA. One is a 2x pistol scope mounted on a 357 Herrett. That scope has stood up to the abuse of the Herrett with no loss of zero or damage. This scope I obviously mounted on an A1 style AR. The optics are crisp and clear and the scope mounts solid to my carry handle. So far I have not been plagued by a wandering zero. Would I carry it overseas? No. But for varmint hunting, target shooting and home defense it will more than do the trick. I also like this scope because it looks like the old Colt 3x and I am kind of old fashioned. Great scope for the money if any problems crop up I will update my review.

Mount broke only after 3 shots of federal 556 55gr ammo. May have over tightened the hardware included, but not by much. The bolt has a very small head which popped right through the hole in the scope's bottom channel. Fixed by grinding a new bolt's head to fit the narrow passage, but truthfully I feel as though it wasn't worth it. In short:- Installed on M4 with carry handle upper. While this looks better than a red dot or full size rifle scope on a carry handle, scope was a lot longer (7" OAL) and heavier than I thought. Made a very light weapon suddenly extremely top heavy. - Optics were okay, had a bit of haloing. The windage/elevation screws lack any positive clicks or markings whatsoever... they just loosen / tighten freely, so was a little disappointed there. Im still young and I have more faith in my eyes/irons over this gadget. Unless youre going for a nostalgic look, id pass this style of optic entirely.

Overall, this small scope is a good value. Pros-it's small; fit handle correctly; optics clear & cross hairs did not get loose after shooting. Cons-takes patience to screw nut/clip on mount w/o stripping threads; vertical crosshair off center; scope is very slightly off-center after mounting & cannot be corrected; adjustment screws don't have reference marks or any guides like "L" or "R" with an arrow; a screw is seen in the "see through" mount that slightly interferes with useing the open sights.

Bigger than I thought. Scope was near dead-on-balls via laser boresight out of the box. Excellent quality. Great (Captured) lens covers.The quick mount is a pain but will help absorb knocks as it's spring loaded.Yes it is a see-through mount for your iron sights but something interferes with the sight picture. No big deal.This quality scope will not set you back a mint but will improve your accuracy. Once dialed in just click the range adjustment and you are on target at extended yardages.Buy it.

As a simple, low-cost addition to a 16" AR carbine, it works perfectly. Quick install onto the carry handle and you're in business. Zeroing took 10 minutes and I was hitting solid groups at 100 yards. I was hesitant with the reviews about the canting, but, this was not the case. More likely the exception and not the rule. Only complaints I have are that the screw to attach to the carry handle is not fixed, so you may flub the attachment a few times & there are no direction indicators for the windage and elevation. I also think a Mil-dot reticule would be better, but that's only because I plan to do longer distance shooting with a 4x scope. Great product, I'd buy BSA again.

I ordered this scope based on the positive reveiws since there were more positive than negative. But unfortunately the same problems plague mine, a canted crosshair. I have had luck with BSA products before but it just ran out. Great job midway, order arrived before date quoted.

The scope is great but the mount is not so great. Didn't find the quick detachable mount quick at all. It did not create a strong enough attachment and it marred the upper badly. I removed it and replaced it with a nut. Have not played with the ballistic recommended compensating elevation turret yet. Overall I would recommend this if you have an A2 upper.

Based on positive reviews, I selected this scope. Mine arrived with a reticle that was canted about ten degrees clockwise. If the crosshairs aren't right, I can't justify a higher review; I sent mine back to Midway.
