After further reviewing these and my other post, I found the bullet type was a big factor in feeding the last round. I also had not put Wolf springs in. I had been shooting 130gr Nosler and 155gr remingtons HP which both worked fine. I went to 180gr gold dots and golden sabers and had failure to feed the last round 8 of 10 times. I found if I put the more "pointed" lighter load as my 1st in the mag, then filled with the 180's I had no problems. I also found if you push up on the mag insert from the hole in the bottom prior to loading, it raises/tilts it slightly. I then placed 1 lone 180gr round in the mag and it fed everytime. When you do this, I was only able to get 4 rounds in before the insert went back to its original position and would not feed the last round unless it was as I mentioned the 130 or 155 grainer's. I emailed Pierce today 30Nov05 but have not heard back. I called their phone and could only get an answering machine and was told to leave my number. I think you could put a portion of the original Glock insert on the bottom to raise the tip of the Pierce enough to take care of it or you can put a round in the mag 1st that you know will feed.

Works very well. I assembled it without the locking plate, since the magazine has those tabs that lock the base plate on anyways. Lots of drop tests and it has never come off, even after a kaboom blew apart the mag (reassembled the mag and it still works perfectly)! Feels great in the hand. I could already shoot it pretty well, but with the extension I can shoot my G26 better than my G17L, and got 13/44 in my first IPSC competition with it (had the only subcompact out there). Only makes a small impact on concealment, and is still much smaller than the Subcompacts. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended to get the most out of your subcompact!

Matches the grip nicely in texture and contour and gives a +1 benefit to either G26 and G27 just as it claims. It's hard to tell, but even the polymer material seemed identical. Installation is easy and once there it locks solidly in place due to close fitting tolerences (although not quite as tight as the std. factory floor plate). To those considering a pinky extension without increasing capacity, this is still a better choice than the ill fitting, non-matching textured PG-26 which will turn your Glock into an upside down Jack-in-the-Box when it pops off. Naturally, I'm advising the +1 pinky ext route only if the law allows, but as a Pennsylvania target shooter, this was the way to go. Highly recommended.

WOW.......this is a great product. Now I have a 11+1=12 shots 9mm Glock 26. 2 times more firepower than a S&W 6 shot revolver all in 23 ounces. Way cool.

The reason the other user had problems with the last round isn't because of an angle change, its from a mag spring not being strong enough. If the angle were off, it shouldn't feed any. I put in Wolf Xtra power springs in mine and the problem was solved. You can use a stock Glock model 23 mag spring as well. The only reason I didn't give it a "5" star is because of having to change springs. Other than that, this is a great addition for this little pocket rocket. Improves grip etc.

I generally carry my G27, on and off duty, with the factory +2 mag extension on. But that one adds quite a bit of length. When I need a little more concealability I have this +1 extender on 1 of my mags. It works great, looks great, and really gives you a great grip.

I installed these on six G27 mags, only to result in failures to strip the last round from the mag. These change the angle of the spring, reducing spring force on the front of the follower. All six of my mags failed with these installed. Bad design.

I spoke with the rep from Pearce today. Very good people. I found out there have been changes with the Glock mags themselves since they started the 27. Pierce also has changed the locking insert cups. The mags I had problems with were using the old cup. They are sending me new upgraded locking cups for the mags. If anyone else is having the problem, Pearce said to contact them direct and it would be handled. I will update this once I receive, install and test them.

I just got new ones. The current have a different locking cup than prior models. I also got new Glock M27 mags for these. The Glock mag is using a different style follower than prior mags. I tried ALL types and weights of 40 cal and it fed every round put thru it including the last round that others had complained about. I tried the new locking cup with my old mags and had the same results. I think I will replace my old followers with the new style. It raises the bullet and increases the angle the round sits in the mag. Fantatsic fix.
