This is the U.S. armed forces standard issue holster for the Beretta M9 handgun (also fits Beretta 92F, 96F, 92FS and 96 Vertec). Features heavy-duty ballistic nylon construction, ambidextrous design, removable flap and Quik Lock belt fastener. It is water resistant and hand washable. Converts to a shoulder holster with the M13 chest harness or UM84 harness. Olive drab.

Although this is primarily used with Beretta 9mms, I have this holster for use with my military spec Springfield 1911A1. It fits absolutely perfect. You can use this holster with either the military or a standard belt. It is very durable and even seems to be somewhat water repellent. It comes with a cleaning rod that accepts popular sized cleaning bore brushes (like from Outers, etc.) it is easily cleaned by hand washing and dries fairly quickly (as long as you don't soak the heck out of it of course). I have used this holster in extreme weather and it does well. It fits the Beretta or the Colt gov't 1911 models and variants extremely well. It is however, a large holster so do not purchase this for concealment intentions. If you want a good sturdy holster with years of service, this is it. If you want a comfort fitting concealment holster, you may want to consider a different one. I can't find anything negative at all to say about this item (as long as you dont mind the size). You can also remove the top flap of the holster very easily and quickly for a quick-draw access type holster, but this will not securely hold the gun in as for running or bumpy movement conditions like it does with the flap left on. SEMPER FI to all my fellow Marines and fallen comrades.
