As others bought for 77/22. Works great feeds correctly. Not quite flush on the bottom but only mm off; figure most mag fed bolts stick out the bottom. Spendy but if you wanta shoot 22 shorts out of your 77/22??

Like the previous reviewer I purchased the Ruger 10/22 .22 short magazine for my 77/22 and it worked perfectly as delivered, but as the previous reviewer noted the 10/22 mag body is different than the 77/22.I then swapped a 77/22 body for the 10/22 mag body, the 77/22 mag body accepted the .22 short adapted feed parts, and mag works and fits my 77/22 as it was intended.

While I actually purchased the 22 short magazine for use in my ruger 77/22, I found that it works perfectly. The contour of the base (curved, instead of flat) in no way effects the function of the magazine, and it feeds 22 shorts just fine. It really beats loading rounds one at a time.

The magazine is great ...

The magazine is great build quality and works great. I used to have to load 22 shorts in my 10/22 one at a time and it was a huge pain. With this magazine I can hold the action back, turn the gun sideways to drop out the spent casing, drop the action closed and I'm ready to shoot. I do not use 22 shorts enough to justify spending the price of the gun itself for the entire 22 short kit with the bolt but the magazine does what I need it to.
