Launch this bullet with 68g of IMR 7828ssc out of a custom .257 Weatherby for a single ragged hole @ 200yds. It has dropped many trophy's in many different states. With smaller bullets, it's bullet placement that drops the game. These bullets are very accurate and perform very well on thin skin animals like whitetail's, Blackbuck, antelope, etc. If you want an accurate bullet that preforms well in a 25 Caliber Sierra Game King 120g HP is my choice.

I have shot 2 deer in Pa one buck at 285 yards dropped in its tracks. I shot a doe at 342 yards also dropped. Both bullets exited and did not blow up a lot of meat. The load was in a 25-06 with 55.5 gr of RL 22 with a magnum Federal primer about 3215 fps.

I have used this bullet in my .257 Rob to hunt whitetail deer for 10 years. I have had mixed results. Shots through the lungs hitting ribs don't produce good exit wounds. Very small holes with very little blood. Shots through the shoulders prove to be devastating but don't typically produce an exit wound. The lack of exit wounds are countered by the deer not going very far. Typically 50 yards or less. In my opinion weight retention is poor. Maybe 50%.

I describe it as the "Hammer of Thor" on deer out of my 25-06. In nearly 40 years of deer hunting with over a dozen calibers, I've never seen a bullet drop deer dead in their tracks like this one does.

I load this bullet for a Rem 700 25-06 with IMR4831. My best grouping was a ragged hole with 3 shot at 100yrds. 200 it will shoot one inch all day long. I shot 4 deer Thanksgiving weekend one at 150, two at 300, and a buck at 500 which was not recovered cause of neighbor issues. All deer recovered dropped in their tracks and had massive exit holes. I wont shoot anything else out of my old 25-06!

during this years bear season I took down a 500+ pound bear from 50 ft. the round went through the right side into the heart through both lungs and exited out of the left side. I have to say this round when custom loaded to meet speeds of 2995 fps it will out perform a 270 WIN and many 30-06 rounds

I have a steyer 25-06. I have all weights and variations of sierra bullets. as well as a host of other fine bullets includeing barnes x and triple shock. of all the bullets with all the powders I have used in different weights imr 4350 h1000 rl22 etc whatever I spit this bullet out with It has half inch groups It has to be more than just my rifle likes it. the second best is sierra 117gameking boattail. I think the tripleshock will do well when I get the length down. It is very accurate for me in 30cal
