It's the only scope ...

It's the only scope mounting system that I've found that allows you to use the sights of your Mini-14 Ranch - but only barely. So far so good but I have to take 2 stars off for the construction. The attachment system is a bit strange and getting it to sit level with the rifle is a chore because it doesn't get pulled down tight on to the rifle's built-in scope mount and sits maybe .010-.015" above the built-in mount. But the worst thing is that the fit between L shaped torx wench and the screw heads is super sloppy almost guarantying either a stripped wrench or stripped out screw heads. Bottom line it's a 4 star concept with 1 star execution so I'm giving it 2 stars.

This is the best option ...

This is the best option for a scope mount on a 196 series Mini 14. You can still use the hard sights which is exactly what I needed. An excellent product.

Very easy to install. Sits solid on my ranch all weather mini 30. It's about 5 inches and light, and it looks good on it too.

This product works well. ...

This product works well. I mounted it on my ranch rifle with an Eotech and it is very solid. It may take some time to figure out but its worth it. It does need to be removed to take the bolt out, but it dose not change the zero much (I haven't noticed it at all.) It is really worth the money.

Hard to center on mount. ...

Hard to center on mount. Has to be removed to remove bolt on Mini-14 for cleaning or service. This will require resighting scope each time.

Multi hole mounting ...

Multi hole mounting system a little hard to figure out, but solid when done, have NVRS mounted on ranch rifle for varmint hunting has not moved, I would buy another one.
