Product Information

This is a drop-in upper, compatible with virtually any standard AR-15 lower receiver. The upper is fully assembled, headspaced and comes complete with a bolt and bolt carrier assembly. The A3 Flattop upper allows for any optic or iron sight combo desired. This upper features short stroke gas piston operation instead of the usual direct gas impingement operation. This means cooler and cleaner firing which can greatly increase reliability.

I have had this upper for ...

I have had this upper for 3 months now and love it. The bolt assembly stays clean and it shoots great. The attached iron sights that came with it are still on, I wanted to put my scope on it but am still enjoying the accuracy of the iron now. Have fired approx 400 rounds so far with zero problems yet.

I purchased the Bushmaster piston style upper to go on a Lewis Machine lower receiver. I wanted a shorter tactical rifle for up close type shooting but this set-up matched the shooting of my Rock River 24" varmint rifle. After sighting the rifle in (I put an ACOG 4X scope on the rifle). I put 5, 20 round magazines through the gun from a bench with sand bags and shot them all in 1.5" group. IMPRESSIVE. I couldn't be happier, this setup exceeded my expectations. RLA

Matched this upper to an ...

Matched this upper to an LMT lower and was dazzled with the results. I have a Rock River varmint 24" barrel that I consider to be my tack driver. This Bushmaster/LMT combo I believe is a dead heat with my longer varmint Rock River. I shot 5-20 round magazines at a 100 yards (from bags) and could cover the whole thing with a half dollar....I am impressed. RLA

I married an LMT lower ...

I married an LMT lower receiver with the Bushmaster upper, an ACOG 4x scope and went to the range. Using Winchester 55 grain FMJ ammo I ran 100 rounds through the 10X hole without a single flyer. Impressive. This is the first piston AR I've ever fired. It shot well, clean up easy and generally made my day. Great product.
