Its surprisingly bright ...

Its surprisingly bright and clear. I wanted to put a scope on a 91/30 nagant that I had put a scout mount on. this scope lined up good, cleared well, ( I used some medium profile rings) there is no distortion in the scope when I shoulder it. I still have the original stock on the rifle. the only thing I wish I had done instead was to get a scope that would zoom, but I wanted a scope for my 22 lr pistol anyways. just make sure you notice it is a LONG eye relief scope. I would recommend this scope for anybody wanting it for a pistol or even an ar-15 carbine with a railed handguard

I have to respectfully ...

I have to respectfully disagree with all of the previous reviews. It clearly states in the add type of the scope and I quote (with illuminated reticles and extra long eye relief). What do you think extra long eye relief means ? The scope works great when used as it was made to be.

Quality seemed ok, but ...

Quality seemed ok, but eye relief is too long for any of my guns. Recommend for handgun or scout style rifle mounting in front of action. Also, you get slightly off center, you can't see through scope. I returned mine.

Good clear scope, however ...

Good clear scope, however this scope has very far eye relief. Will not work on Marlin 336.
