Replacement assembly for Remington 700 with hinged floorplate magazine in 308 Winchester. Includes one 5-round magazine. This will also accept the Badger Ordnance 10-round magazine. Includes grade 5 Torx screws and is made from aluminum with black hard coat anodizing. Requires inletting in the stock for installation. This DBM will work with right or left hand Remington 700 short actions.

Having tried another brand, I switched to this unit and trust me, if you want a professional unit that our special forces sometimes use(you can verify this with Badger Ordnance), this is the one! I had the inletting on my Remy 700 stock done by professionals and it all works so smoothly you would have thought it came from the factory like this! If you want a detachable magazine to replace your hinged floorplate, THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY!

I set this up in an old Rem 700 Match Rifle for High Power Competition. I have used it in one match so far and it works pretty well, but get the 10 round mags for a little more "grab area" when doing rapid reloads. Plusses:1. It got my 70's era match rifle to shoot w/o stripper clips.2. It fit pretty easily into the current stock/action. (If you have a std BDL stock, I am sure it will fit perfectly. Mine was a special stock with quite the "belly" on it, so extra pillars & longer bolts were needed.) Concerns:1. Not sure how long the plastic detent on the magazine will stay effective with the metal latch. I expect to replace the mags more often than I would like, but no problem so far (one match & a little practice).2. The lever is a little awkward to push when in rapid fire mag change. I guess with more practice I will be more efficient. Summary:If you have a std Rem 700 BDL/ DBM, and are not a skilled high power rifle competition shooter, then this will work great. If you pound through enough ammo in a year to replace barrels, then expect to buy more mags....

Overall an outstanding product, functions flawlessly. The install however was a nightmare for me, I have a B&C A2 stock and decided to do the work myself. It requires lots of patience and precise fitting, I can't put all the work I had to do into words. My advice is to have a professional do it.... Im still giving the product 5 stars, after all the time and cursing it's worth it beacause of it's quality.

With my aftermarket stock, it took some minor fitting, but it was not a difficult install at all.. functions flawlessly.. What a great piece of equipment... Where have you been all my life?? ... Hogs and Prairie Dogs don't have a chance! Feeds like grease through a Goose...

This is a great system. This is my first time using it and I know why the military has chosen it, as it is great in every aspect. It's a bit heavier duty than the original trigger guard and thus a bit bigger, so there is a little bit of work needed to the stock to make it fit. The magazines being made from accuracy international are fantastic, heavy duty, rugged, and reliable. Over all I give this 5 stars and may very well put one in another rifle down the road.

This is a great piece of gear. Flawless loading and unloading of the magazine. The fit and finish is outstanding. Being able to switch from a five round magazine to a ten round mag. in competition is worth its weight.

At the time of this review, the Badger Ordnance trigger guard and AI magazines are the clear choice for the Remington 700 type action. I had no trouble with fitting it to a Bat Machine VRPIC action. The trigger guard is shipped with a nice template for the stock inlay. There was a good deal of work required on the stock, as such this may be a job best left to a smith. Or just purchase a fitted stock. Once fitted the function is outstanding in every respect. The center feed magazines will handle a great variety of cartridges. I have even been able to feed the short 6MM BR Norma. The loaded length limit of the AI magazine shipped with mine is 2.87" This system is used by our military as evidenced by the federal stock numbers on the box. That fact brings me to a couple less than stellar comments. The system produces a lot of noise when in use. The magazine rattles when engaged to the weapon. The clearance around the magazine was designed to give a high degree of reliability in adverse conditions. I would imagine military personnel have developed some method to control this unwanted noise in the field, and should be addressed if one plans to use the rifle for hunting. Also the trigger guard has very precise square edges all around. This sure makes it look like a high precision part but is not very nice to handle. I feel the guard could use a little more chamfering around the trigger. Being hard anodized that is not an option. Unless you want to send it out to be recoated. Also I had to do a very small milling on the trigger guard to allow the safety to function on the Jewell trigger. This part is made with pride in USA!

By far the greatest bottom metal/ detachable magazine for the 700. I have install 6 of these so far for my customers and not one of them has had a single problem with feeding. 3 of them have been improved cases so they handle those with ease as well. Not that I can say the same for the H-S detachable mag. Great Product, a must by for the competitor or an impatient prairie dog shooter.
