Product Information

Timney Sportsman Triggers feature a lightweight alloy housing and hardened steel working surfaces. They are lightweight, rugged and durable. The trigger pull is adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs and is adjustable for creep, backlash and overtravel. These triggers require the use of the original safety. Minor fitting may be required. Fits most bolt action rifles with Mauser actions that cock on closing. Swedish 94's, 96's, 38's and Spanish 93's and 95's.

I tried to put it on a 93 ...

I tried to put it on a 93 Mauser, but the trigger would not fit without modifying the trigger housing. So, I put it in a 96 Swede. It worked fine here, except I had to shim it since it did not fit flush on top and so rocked when the trigger was pulled. After shimming, it worked great. Still, it is not a drop in for two of the rifles it is supposed to be.

I have mounted at least 6 ...

I have mounted at least 6 of these on Swedish and Spanish Mausers. I think it is a decent trigger.It is easy to mount to the action, but the rifle usually requires other modifications. You will have to use a dremel tool or chisel to carve out a little wood to make room in the stock for the body of the trigger assembly, but not enough to weaken the stock. You usually need to use a file to lengthen and widen the trigger slot in the military trigger guards, but it won't take a lot of work. Both modifications are easy... just take your time. And don't drop the receiver while you are trying to fit the trigger to the stock; it will probably break the trigger assembly.Although the trigger adjustments seem straight forward, I have never adjusted mine; my wife and I like the factory settings.

This trigger is awesome! ...

This trigger is awesome! Easy to install in the action, in my case my safety doesn't work now but the directions show how to correct the problem. I also had to cut a large portion out of the trigger area since it was quite a bit larger that the original, but the trigger itself is great.

This unit was installed on a Kimber M96. The installation required a slight amount of grinding on the trigger guard. The "pull" adjustment was straightforward resulting in much improvement over the factory trigger. Great product ! ! !

I also installed this on a Kimber M96, it took a little fitting,but well worth the effort, this trigger is a great buy and a great improvment, the adjustment from the factory was where I left it about 3lbs, i'm planning on buying two more for a 03A3 & P17
