Product Information

Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition is high quality, production-run ammunition manufactured to strict tolerances and inspected as it is hand-packaged. Trophy Grade features Nosler Custom brass and the dependable, high performing bullets you know and trust.

This Trophy Grade ammunition is loaded with Nosler's AccuBond bonded core bullet. Through a proprietary bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond marries Nosler's traditional copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep, won't cause extensive barrel fouling, and will retain 60-70% of its weight. The white polymer tip helps protect against deformation while initiating expansion upon impact.

Never have had "factory" ammuniation this accurate. Single hole groups at 100. Only disappointment is that it is not my reload. Guess I can spend more time hunting and less time developing a load.

Shoots under 3/4" at 100 ...

Shoots under 3/4" at 100 yards so I thought I would give it a try. Nebraska hunt 1st Doe at 183 yards. Bullet broke 1 rib and was found in vitals before breaking through second set of ribs. Bullet weight retained was under 65%. Second deer buck at 353 yards. Hit was just behind front shoulder. Bullet completely blew up before entering ribs. No damage to vitals 3-1/2 hours to track him down. Remington round put him down. Upon inspection no entrance hole where bullet impacted it just blew up???

Purchased this ammunition from Midway USA, and received it only 4 days later. All ammunition was clean and free of any cosmetic or functional defects. Produced solid sub-MOA groups averaging .6", when fired through a Cooper Model 52 Jackson Hunter with a 24" stainless barrel with 1-10 rate of twist. Scoped with a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8X36 off of a portable table and sandbags at 100yds. Not exactly a super solid or stable rest, and this ammo and rifle combination still shot very well. Also doesn't seem sensitive to being fired through a bore with cleaning solvent or oil still present, as even the first "fouling" shot was still easily within a good group. Will report on bullet performance on game at a later time. At least I know I have no excuses for missing an animal with this combo. May need to duplicate this load for reloading and just be done with it.

I was very impressed with this Ammo. I reload for all of my rifles, but I picked up a box of the Nosler ammo when I bought the gun. I was shocked, I was shooting 1 hole groups with a new gun that wasn't broke in. This ammo shoots so well, I have opted to not reload for it, as it will be very tough to beat this ammo.

I reload >95% of my pistol and rifle ammunition but thought I would try the Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition in my semi-custom 280 Ackley Improved. My first testing of the Nosler ammunition I was shooting @ 100 yards and the two test groups were not impressive. This is a fairly new barrel on my 280 AI so I thought I would break in the barrel a little more and try again. I went out yesterday and took the Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition for more testing and I also took some test reloads. (By test reloads I mean these are not proven and I also use secondary quality brass and primers.) I set the targets up at 200 yards and fired two 3-shot groups with the Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition and alternated with my reloads. The Nosler ammunition's groups were so large I didn't measure but they are close to 4 and 3-1/2, whereas the reloads measured < 1.5 (This rifle has fired groups of less than 0.5 MOA on numerous occasions.). I use Nosler brass for my premium reloads and when I checked the fired cases necks and they were consistent and measured 0.125 - 0.14 so the case doesn't appear to be the problem with the groups. Can't say why or if it my particular 280 Ackley doesn't like this ammunitions but this performance isn't acceptable to me. With the poor performance the first time I did not chronograph the ammunition.
