Best bullet ever for the 270 WIN for thin skinned game, such as Whitetailed deer. I have loaded it for a friend for 12 years and he has killed everything with one shot; performing perfectly. Never having used the 270 much, I am now planing a custom Rem 700.

This bullet shoots dime size groups at !00 yards. I shot three hogs this summer, 175 to 225lbs from 350 to 475 yards and all three dropped in their tracks. Recovered one bullet that retained 75% weight. Can't wait to see what happens this deer season. Savage 270 WSM

I have taken 5 deer with this bullet; 3 went down about where they were hit and 2 went no more than 20 yards. Shots were between 100 and 225yds. They give me a 3 shot group at 100yds of 7/8". Rifle is a 700SPS 270WSM; only bullet I use in it now.

I've used this bullet in one of my 270's for quite a few years now. I've taken at least a half dozen deer with it, does and bucks, big and small. Distances were always between 45-125 estimated yards. Sierra is known for its quality control and their bullet concentricity is excellent. The bullets performed flawlessly but I wish Sierra would move forward and make a bonded bullet. Accuracy at the range was identical to the 140 hollow point. I wrote about my experiences with that bullet also. I know plenty of other hunters use Sierra exclusively because of their great accuracy but I haven't used them yet on anything larger than a deer just because the bullet cores are not bonded to the jackets. One New Mexico guide has seen some big elk lost because the bullets were hitting shoulders (different calibers) so he discouraged their use on larger game.

I used this bullet last ...

I used this bullet last deer season and the results were amazing. I had it loaded up with 54gr. of H4831 and going 3000fps out of my Remington Sendero. I was about 250 yards away when I shot the deer. When I was cleaning it I noticed that the bullet drilled straight through a rib and right through the heart.The rib didn't crack or splinter. It exited and left a half dollar size hole.

I have used this bullet for several years and has been excellent. Dime size groups at 100 yards using 59.7 of H-4831 and molly coated using the Midway tumber and molly coat kit. This bullet also performs excellent on deer. Recovered a bullet from a 350 yard shot on a deer, the bullet mushroomed great.
