AccuBond represents the most advanced bonded core bullet technology to date. Through a proprietary bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond marries Nosler's traditional copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep, won't cause extensive barrel fouling, and will retain 60-70% of its weight. The polymer tip helps protect against deformation while initiating expansion upon impact. This is not loaded ammunition.

Dropped at the shot...

I switched to this bullet from a Partition in my Weatherby Vangaurd in .270 Win. Partition was accurate, but this bullet is outstanding, 5 shot groups under an inch. I shot a large doe this year on the last day of the firearms season with this bullet at about 20 yds. Unbeliveable damage to her heart/lungs...part of her lungs came out the entrance wound, heart had a huge hole in it, she dropped in her tracks. The close range and high velocity I push it to was the ultimate test of a bullet, and this one passed. It did not exit, and I couldn't find the expanded bullet, but it did not make it past the diaphragm.

I love this bullet

One of the bad things about owning lots of rifles is that you don't get to shoot any one of them very much...such is the case with my Weatherby Van. .270 Win. It shoots lights out with a Timney trigger and Nosler Accubond 130 and RL-22(3060 fps), most times way under an inch at 100 yds. I finally bagged a deer this year with this rifle/ammo combo. A mature doe at about 20 yds from a tree stand, she was standing lengthwise and the bullet hit her right above the sternum and travelled about two feet but didn't exit. She dropped at the shot and didn't even kick. This bullet made an extreme mess of her trachea/lungs and literally ripped her heart in two. I normally wouldn't take this shot, but I had confidence in the Accubond to hold together long enough to hit vitals, and it did. The entrance hole was the size of a tennis ball, and some lung material had been ejected onto the ground.

The Nosler Accubond .270 ...

The Nosler Accubond .270 130gr. bullet performs exceptionally well in my Remington Mod. 7 CDL in 270 WSM. With a max load of Mag Pro powder per Nosler's load manual with Remington Mag rifle primers my M7 shoots 3/8" single hole groups at 100 yards and 3 1/2" groups at 300 yards. During a just completed Montana Mule deer hunt, shot a large 5x5 mule deer at 200 yards just behind the shoulders with complete pass through. My experience with this bullet has been exceptional accuracy, excellent on game performance, and the same pass through performance. In a word, Outstanding! Thank you Nosler for another great product.

Thwack and down went the antelope buck at 275 measured yards from a shot from my Model 70 Featherweight in 270 Winchester. The 130 grain AccuBond performed nicely on a quartering shot on a 76" goat. The bullet entered behind a rib and was found in the right front shoulder. I highly recommend this bullet for its performance and accuracy! I get 3/4" groups with this bullet and need it for shots as noted above!

The Nosler 130 grain 270 ...

The Nosler 130 grain 270 bullet was flawless this year. This review is my second review of this bullet and covers the performance of the bullet in 2010. The load was the Nosler 130 grain AccuBond, a maximum charge of IMR 4350, and a CCI 200 primer held together by a Remington Case (same as the last review). The deer was a large whitetail buck at 150-200 yards who weighed in at 223 pounds before skinning/cleaning. The shot was taken off a hill above the deer and the bullet hit to the left of the deer's spine and just above the pelvis. Damage was typical at the entry point with a good size wound just under the hide. The wound anchored the deer, which fell down hard and died quickly. However, the bullet did not stop at the entry point. It traveled parallel to the spine up through the cavity, punctured the right lung (hole verified during cleaning), punched through the rib cage, and came to rest in the mussel outside the rib. Given that the bullet knocked the deer to the ground and resulted in almost immediate death, and traveled through the deer lengthwise, it is hard to say it performed anything other the perfectly. I did recover the bullet. It weighed in at 102.9 grains (mostly clean) for about 78% weight retention. The mushroom formed was oval, with one axis measuring 0.490 inches and the other 0.575 inches. I will be buying more of these for next year.

This bullet is the only bullet I trust have taken 6 deer with it have recovered only 1 bullet the deer was standing behind a big fallen tree quartering toward me the only shot I had was top 4 inches of back needless to say bullet went through 4 vertebrae and retained 75 percent of its weight the others were 200 to 600 yard broadside complete pass through silver dollar exit wound all one shot drops

I've used Nosler Ballistic tips for years with complete satisfaction, so I was looking forward to trying the Accubond. They have proven just as accurate and deadly on game as the B.T. with the only difference being better penetration. I have used them now in several calibers with complete satisfaction.

Excellent accuracy with I hope good performance on game. I will know when take a mule deer this fall. These are the best shooting hunting bullets I have found for my 270 Win but they need to be driven at peak velocity to get the best accuracy. In my Mauser, with a Douglas 24" barrel, they shoot .75 inches groups at 100 yrds. and under 2 inches at 200 yrds.

This bullet is very accurate (3 shots in .75" at 100 yards) in my Tikka T3. Loaded over IMR-4350, max per Nosler manual. I shot a large doe with this bullet and it dropped on the spot. It was quartering toward me, and I hit it in the left front shoulder. The bullet came out at one of the rear ribs on the other side.I have now shot 4 deer with Accubonds in 2 different bore sizes. My experience is: the bullet always goes through, and the deer never takes another step.

This is an excellent ...

This is an excellent bullet. I've worked up a load using IMR 4350 producing 3070 fps that is extremely accurate (1 1/4-inch, 200 yard, 3-shot groups) in my Weatherby SMOA chambered in 270 WSM. Ive used this load to harvest several whitetails at distances out to 250 yards. The bullet produced consistent, one shot, kills.
