Dewey's Ultimate Oiler has to be just the best oiler money can buy. With features like open/close brass nozzle for one touch control, 2-1/2" angled brass stem, double Vinton o-ring seal and 1 oz polypropylene bottle, this oiler will give you years of dependable service. This oiler can not be used with ammonia based solvent that can attack brass and copper.

Technical Information

Material: Polypropylene bottle, brass stem and nozzle.

Notes:

Nozzle turns to open or close.

Stem is angled.

O-ring seal on bottle.

Does not come with contents. For use with any lubricating oil. Oiler is very small, description refers to container size and length of stem.

I painted the stock on my Remington 700VSF camo and was looking for an oiler that wouldn't dribble solvent on the new paint job. Now I know why they call it the ULTIMATE OILER you get solvent on the stock, table, floor etc. everywhere except where you want it!!! There is a metal stem pushed into the top of a little plastic bottle and even though they have a cute little o-ring there it still leaks all over the place when turned upside down to put solvent on a patch. I call this just another piece of TEN DOLLAR TRASH....you know what I mean, a little ten dollar item that would cost you $9.50 to return so you throw it in the trash. All you can do is warn others like those at my 50 member gun club.

Terrible product made of ...

Terrible product made of inferior materials. The screw adjustable nozzle is supposed to measure the flow of oil, it's more of an open/close valve - and it leaked profusely. The bottle also leaked at the cap and the brass stem oxidized (corroded). I couldn't wait to use up the oil I had poured into it so I could throw it away.

I actually used mine with perfect satisfaction for a couple years before it developed a leak, but once it began to leak there was no fixing it. As others reported the junction between the brass head and the plastic bottle is eventually going to leak, and replacing the O-ring isn't going to solve the problem for long. If it helps, I used Shooter's Choice FP-10 in my Dewey Oiler exclusively.

I have four of these bottles. Three of them leak at the o-ring and the hole is so small in the tube that you might as well forget using oil with teflon in it or any thicker oils.

Bought my oiler and it would not let the oil out and it leaked. I called Dewey up and told them of my problem. They sent me a brand new one that works great. Read the other reviews instead of getting mad. Call the company up. Dewey been around a long time. I don't work for them but there is a old saying what ever man touchs can break, thats why there are warranties, your missing out on a good product

It really is the ultimate in dispensing lubricant, assuming you want to lubricate wherever you store this item. If you don't want to oil your workbench, work shelf, or any other horizontal surface you set this on, it would be best to chose a different product.

I was very disappointed with this product: Oil leaked out through the bond between the plastic bottle and the brass fitting that mates with the removable stem. Not much point to have an oiler if it's going to leak all over your hands while you're trying to use it, so this thing is going in the trash.

The Dewey oiler worked ...

The Dewey oiler worked fantastic for the first month, sitting on the shelf in my workshop; I was very happy with it. Then I put it in my cleaning kit, and it started leaking at the o-ring within 2-4 weeks. Covered my entire cleaning kit with oil. Took it apart, replaced the o-ring, and it worked for another 2-4 weeks before it started leaking again. Conclusion - this product cannot be stored horizontally; must be kept vertical.
