I could make these ...

I could make these bullets fly tight only on hot loads from my Mannlicher S 375H&H. Have shot 3 boars yet two of them went far after a proper lung shot. Leaving a very poor blood trail. Last one went 350yds having lungs and liver struck (slightly quartering away shot). A caliber sized exit hole was stuck with some tissue, so blood trail was not existent after some 70yds. Without a premium Bavarian Scent Hound this boar (about 100lbs) would be lost! I'm switching back to HDY RN 300gr, they work as one would expect from this caliber!

These bullets are fantastic Elk medicine. This is the first bullet that I loaded in my 375 H&H, and it proved very accurate out to 300 yards working up loads. I used this bullet on an elk hunt a number of years ago and it is very effective for taking Wapiti.

In a Ruger #1 375 H&H ...

In a Ruger #1 375 H&H with a barrel around 20" that I lightened and crowned, I used Rem cases, and WLR standard primers and a mild load of 4320. I had 2 holes touching and one hole a quarter inch away at 50 yds so far. Recoil is tolerable but I hadn't shot it in a while so the first round was more stout than a 308 or 30-06 for sure but very do able. One thing good about this rifle is it is very short and would be an excellent brush gun for whatever you wanted. Great bullet: I would say though that I have found Speer BT to be the best not pushed too fast as they expand readily and you destroy less edible meat that way.

Extremely accurate bullet, .40" from a 375 Rem Ultra Mag at 100 yds, devastating on thin skinned animals like deer, antelope, or wild hog, do not recommend for thick skinned or heavy animals, bullet will fragment on large animals and thick bone. This bullet is great if used for its intended purpose, thin skinned animals.

The BC of 0.429 should ...

The BC of 0.429 should make a superb cross-canyon Elk bullet. While Speer #24 manual lists 2,717 fps max with Re-15 later data (book # 14) suggests that is excessive. I've not yet chronographed the loads. The 375 H&H, world's best all-around cartridge; it took a 60 inch moose in Alaska, one shot (Rem. 270 gr. factory ammo) blew it off its feet. Awesome! Rem 700 Safari Grade rifle.
