Product Information

The Troy Industries Ambidextrous Safety Selector allows operation from either side of the lower receiver. The left-side lever has been designed similar to a standard lever for positive operation. The right-side lever has been designed with a lower profile lever and will not interfere with trigger operation. The lever uses stainless steel detents to lock the levers into place, no screws to come loose or threads to strip out. Levers can be switched from left to right to accomodate left-handed shooters.

Works perfect on a mil-spec lower and no screws to fall out! Installation took 5 minutes at most and very happy with the selector overall.

Before I ordered the ...

Before I ordered the selector I was concerned with the previous review that it would not fit my CMMG lower because it would be too narrow. I called Troy Industries to find out and they said that the selector switch fits all mil-spec lowers, which CMMG and most others are if they are designed correctly and are not some type of odd variant. I ordered the switch and installed it on my lower, it fit with no problem. One trick to move the location of the switches is to use a larger paper clip that just fits in the hole where your need to push in the small detent to remove the switch lever. Once the levers are off, just move them to the sides you want then slide it back into your receiver. To get the lever on the other side, just make sure you have your thumb on the other side of the switch pushing on it while you engage the lever. It may need a small tap with a rubber mallet to get the lever in place, but that is good because you will have a positive lock. The fit and finish is superb as there is perfect alignment and minimal movement. Also, make sure you "work" the new lever back and forth a few times so the "newness" wears in. Other than that, I like it alot as it adds a necessary component for us lefties and it looks great.

This selector is poorly ...

This selector is poorly designed, you push an indent in with a small sharp object then slide either end of the safety off, the problem is the safety is too narrow once you put it in the gun to get the piece to slide back in. I scratched my gun up trying and its not possible on a CMMG lower, a bushmaster lower or a Milled Tac Inc, lower. Maybe it fits troy lowers only. They should specify. Good Luck

The product looks very well made and the attention to detail explains the high cost. Unfotunately, it is too narrow to work with a Black Rain Ordnance lower.
