Lyman bullet lubes eliminate leading and improve the accuracy of cast bullets. Super Moly Lube contains Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly) which can eliminate leading, improve accuracy and velocity of cast bullets. All lubes are hollow stick form 1" x 4" and a lube heater is recommended for best results as the melting point is 150 Degrees Fahrenheit.

I buy lead & wheel weights by the ton and tin by the 50 pound box. Which is to say I have shot a lot of cast bullets over the last 40 years. I also live in Southern Arizona where it gets rather hot. I use Saeco, Star, Lyman and RCBS Lube Sizers. This lube works well in all four sizers. It is particularly effective in the 45-70 Rifle with cast bullets over smokeless loads of 3031 and XMP-5744. I have shot it extensively in 357 Magnum, .45 Colt and .44 Magnum with above average power loads of 231, 2400, 296 & Unique. This is where it excels, especially when the gun starts getting hot on the silhouette line during 15 shot strings. Several of the cowboy design bullets I have are original copies that have very conservative lube grooves. This is where this lube really excels as I don't get any leading in the 44-40 or 357 loads I use and fast 10 shot strings in 100 plus degree heat will test a lube. In cold weather it does need a lube heater and I use a 15 watt refrigerator bulb for that purpose and it works just fine. I don't think you can go wrong with this lube if you are interested in minimizing leading and increasing accuracy with cast bullets.

Works well in all my pistol loads both the higher and lower pressure loads. Its a little messy. I mix it with another hard lube to make it a bit "drier" yet still keeping it a bit gooey. Seems to keep barrel leading minimal.

I like this lube far ...

I like this lube far better than the NRA formula one with the alox. That lube tends to melt and run all over the place during the hot months here in Texas. This lube stays solid. I have used it for quite a few years now in my .45ACP loads and find it very satisfactory.

I use this product to lubricate the alignment pins and washers on all of my Lee bullet molds. A very thin film of this stuff will keep things moving smoothly for several casting sessions

dont waste your money, this is a horrible lube, not that aesthetics should count but it smells like tar... it gets everywhere, on the workbench, in your seating dies, its a waste go with something better

I have tried this recently and I believe that I have found a new smokeless lube. I have always been a fan of softer lubes as they tend to deposit themselves in the barrel rather than the backstop as hard lubes do. This lube has the lowest smoke quotient of all lubes that I have used, and done so with zero leading in my .38 Special rounds.

I first started using this lube for my 480 and 500 grain 45/70 loads. The lube does not require a heater and is therefore very soft and sticky. My seater die becomes gummed up and all the bases must be wiped afterwards. Completed cartridges must also be wiped. I do not recommend storing lubed bullets since this lube can make a mess. "Lube and Load" is the motto of this stuff. Shooting with this lube is pure joy and makes up for the messy lube session. The lube is virtually smokeless and I experienced very little to NO leading in my 32" barrel. I give this bullet lube only 4 stars for making such a mess.

As with everything else with cast, there are no absolutes that cover all situations. There are better lubes for pistol work. And this is not too good for high pressure / high velocity rifle work in bottle necked cases. But if you use a rifle at mid pressure levels, this stuff is hard to beat. It eliminates over lubrication fliers while you prevent leading and with little smoke. I find this outstanding for my 458 American / 45-70 use. Are there better lubes? Maybe, but this is the best I have found for this purpose. It also reheats well which makes it preferable to Alox if you are pan lubing.

Excellent lube. Went on easy with the Lyman 4500 and stayed in place when it got warm while in storage. Better than the Lyman alox.
