This BSA Pistol Scope is simple yet effective. Parallax is set for 50 yards and windage and elevation adjustments are set for 1/4 MOA. The multi-coated optics provide a clear sight picture that allow for almost instant target acquisition. BSA Pistol scopes also offer a generous eye relief of 11-20 inches, allowing this versatile scope to double as a scout scope.

As another reviewer noted, this scope does not appear to have the 1/4 MOA adjustment as promised in the description. It states on the adjustment turrets that 1 click of the knob equals 1" at 100 yards, which equals 1 MOA. I have it mounted on a Buckmark .22, and it does appear to be a decent value for the price, so I don't intend to send it back. Just wanted to point out that the adjustment sensitivity is not as described.

This unit is an excellent ...

This unit is an excellent choice for a cost effective, short-range, handgun scope. It is sturdy and enables superior accuracy at ranges out to about 50 yards; beyond that, adjustment resolution is a problem. NOTE: This scope has minute-of-angle adjustments for windage and elevation (i.e., 1 click of the knob equals 1" at 100 yards). My measurements when shooting 135 grain 30 Herrett T/C Contender loads were about 2.5" per click at 100 yards. Even so, my 1.5" 5-shot groups remained tight even after 160 rounds of heavy loads ... I just was not able to move the group to the center of the target.

I put one of these on a Dan Wesson .357 Mag. It shot OK for around 100 rounds of target loads. I shot 6 rounds of full power 140 gr 357 mags through it, and it became blurry no matter what I tried, at any distance, range, or adjustment. Something came undone internally. It is light and FOV challenged. I will get a bigger objective and a different brand next. It is going back and I hope the next one holds up better, but I would not buy another BSA scope because this one advertised being able to withstand magnum handgun recoil, but failed on the first try, not so good.

I was a little hesitant to order this pistol scope at first because of the ratings. But I am extremely glad that I did. The clarity of the optics is really pretty good for such an inexpensive scope. I mounted the BSA 2 x 20 on a Browning Buckmark Hunter model, first it was easy to set the zero at 25 yds., second out to 75 yds., the optics were still pretty clear, and I was more than satisfied with the accuracy as well.

I've had this scope on ...

I've had this scope on two rifles mounted on the rear sight as a scout set up. It has held zero for about 1000 shots so far. The click adjustments move you around quite a bit at 100 yards but for hunting use it is a great bargin. It is bright enough for legal hunting hours even in the dark cedar swamps. 3 1/2 stars

I have had one on my .357 for two years now with no problem. In fact I killed two deer with it this year. Optical quality and field of view are not great, but what you should expect for this price.

This scope was defective right out of the box . Would not hold zero even after trying different rings. The sad thing was that BSA would not stand behind their warrenty and fix it. I was expected to pay for the repair. I refused to do that and ask to have it shipped back so they don't try to sell it to someone else. I took a gamble on this low end scope and basically you get what you pay for. At least the kids have something to play with.

I put this scope on a 41 mag contender and had the same luck as Russ Jenks above. It was doing great then it became blurry and had extreme parallax. This happened on the 21st round.

Bought one of these on ...

Bought one of these on sale, mounted it on a TC Contender in 44 Mag. 11 rounds later you could see a little blurry patch that gradually filled up the view. Called BSA about a warranty repair, they said send it in with a check for $20 and they would fix it. Not worth it to repair. If you get one, keep it off your heavy caliber handguns.
