Product Information

The Barnes Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

The TTSX bullet does not expand like the TSX, period! I shot a 6X6 Bull Elk two times through the shoulders and chest with a 300 Win Mag within 150 yards. Each shot should have been a clean kill. He was finally stopped by a single round from an 8mm Rem Mag with a TSX 200 grain bullet. There was no blood trail from the 300 Mag wounds at all. The TTSX bullets hardly expanded as they went straight through the animal. I lost an Elk the day before because there was no blood trail, using the same bullet Think twice before you purchase these bullets for stopping power. Especially, if the animal has claws and teeth. However, they are very accurate.

Great performance on deer and hogs! All one shot kills and plenty of evidence that the bullet opened properly! Getting 3/4 inch groups at 3100 fps out of my 300 Wby Lazermark. I use the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 with the BDC and my Daughter (16 yrs. old) is consistently busting milk jugs of water at 400 yds.A very accurate and dependable bullet!

I thought I would never use anything but Barnes' TSX in my 300 Weatherby. I tried the tipped TSX cause I was bored. It is as accurate as I can shoot (so is the regular TSX) getting groups well under 1". I took it to New Zealand, shot a red stag from about 200 meters, dropped in its tracks. Then went Tahr hunting, dropped a Tahr from 300 meters on a mountain. One shot again. All that way and I only got to pull the trigger twice - well 4 times if you count the two sight-in shots I took upon arrival. Perfect accuracy, perfect results upon impact. I guess when I get bored again I'll try the 200 grain tips. The 168, 180, and 200 grain regular TSX all shoot under an inch from my 300 Accumark.

LOVE this bullet. Went to Africa last June on a plains game hunt. 8 big game animals including Kudu, Zebra and Gemsbok. All were one shot kills!!! All were pass thru except the Zebra. The off side leg bone was shattered but stopped the bullet. My guide was pleased with my bullet selection as Barnes has a fantastic reputation on the Dark Continent. I would not hesitate to hunt anything on the planet with this bullet!!!!

Love these bullets. Shooting out of a GA Precision Hospitaller w/ 24" 5R Bartlein barrel produced average groups under .5 MOA with the best 5-shot group hitting at .33 MOA at 100 yards. Loaded with IMR 4064 produced 2750 fps. Wouldn't shoot these over Sierra's in competitions, but will use them hunting this season for sure.

These bullets shoot good at the range but when used on deer in Wyoming I was disappointed. Shot several animals and all required follow up shots. All hits were in the shoulder area and they just zipped through unless you hit bone. I would not recommend these bullets if you are looking for a hunting round. If you are looking for a accurate target round these are good. Obtain .5 inch groups at 100 yards.

Absolutely outstanding performance and accuracy out of my 300 RUM Rem. 700 BDL. Killed 5 deer 1 shot each ranging from 100 out to 300 yards. I would highly recommend this bullet as it is all I will be shooting.

This is a great performing bullet from Barnes very accurate I loaded for three different rifles two 300 win mags and a 300 saum went on hunt for deer in Wyoming all made one shot kills bullets were all pass through shots ranging from 60 yards to 200 the bullet did its job
